07/10/2003 15:24 | Well i saw the sales etc. The only thing i have at the moment is a gut feeling that results day must be nearing and they are happy (mms) to mop up any sales for the good news...but as you know my gut feeling could be utter rubbish. | zinyowem
07/10/2003 15:02 | ZINYOWEM Like you I've been in and out of CYX - and I know it tends to move up and down in rather large movements. However I can't for the life of me understand the price chart of the last five days matched against volume. The price came down with a bump on Thursday last week - lay on the floor all day Friday and then at around 8.30 am on Monday started moving up - on pretty much zero volume. Even looking at the chart today the biggest deals are sells. It's got me puzzled. What do you think? | sandbank
07/10/2003 08:29 | From Now Buy Candidate (Medium term) - Oct 6, 2003 Has risen 215% since the bottom on 17 Feb 2003 at 0.50. Is within a rising trend. Continued positive development within the trend channel is indicated. RSI is, however, overbought. The stock can still rise further, and we should see a decreasing RSI before this is used as a negative signal. The stock has support at p 1.00. High risk with an average difference between the lowest and the highest price of the month of 37%. | zinyowem
07/10/2003 08:19 | Well something going on here? 1.5 - 1.8....mmmm | zinyowem
06/10/2003 14:34 | Maybe but i like to see where we are mid week. | zinyowem
06/10/2003 13:30 | ARGYLE may have left this board too soon. Anyone got a handle on the buying today? As it seems to have come in at around noon could it be American in origin? | sandbank
06/10/2003 13:21 | nmitra - Don't jinx...lol | zinyowem
06/10/2003 12:35 | Looking interesting again...mmmm | zinyowem

03/10/2003 23:42 | HI, I STARTED THIS THREAD OFF. I STATED IT COULD BE A 'VERY INTERESTING SHORT TERM PLAY.' IT WAS. IT'S A GOOD COMPANY, WITH VERY GOOD FUTURE PROSPECTS (IMHO) BUT FOR THE MOMENT (IMHO) THE FUN IS OVER. I URGE YOU ALL, TO LOOK VERY SERIOUSLY, AT PURSUIT DYNAMICS (PDX.) READ UP, ESPECIALLY ON 'HOOTSTERS' COMMENTS - HE REALLY IS AN AUTHORITY ON THE COMPANY - NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I FELT SO CONFIDENT AND EXITED ABOUT A COMPANY. I MADE 80% PROFIT ON CYTOMYX. I EXPECT 50 - 100% ON PURSUIT DYNAMICS BEFORE CHRISTMAS (imho) AND, A 10, 20 OR 30 BAGGER BEYOND THAT. THEIR TECHNOLOGY REALLY IS THAT REVOLUTIONARY - THEY HAVE LITERALLY REINVENTED THE ENGINE. REPS FROM 10 DIFFERNT INDUSTRIES (WASTE WATER, DEFENCE, CONFECTIONARY, NUCLEAR DECOMMISSIONG, FOOD, ETC) ARE FALLING OVER THEMSELVES FOR A LICENCE... AS ALWAYS DYOR, BUT 4 THE SHORT TERM, IT'S GOODBYE FROM ME ON THIS BOARD. GOOD LUCK | argyle underclap
03/10/2003 16:48 | ....and let's not forget, the mid price closed today over 15% higher than last Friday's close. I wish all the rest of my portfolio could do that in a year! aj. | ajrice
03/10/2003 13:28 | Notice that we have stabilised for now and buyers slowly getting in again. Will see how we go next week before jumping to any conclusions. Have a good weekend all. | zinyowem
02/10/2003 16:22 | And a tick up as I post... | dontknowitall
02/10/2003 16:06 | Well. Was nice seems back to being a waiting game again. Well done to those who managed to take profits...personally still like the progress CYX is making even though as you know i also took some profits a bit ago. Reason being that i am trying to always diversify and a profit is not a profit till you sell. I still hold quite a bit of CYX (By my standards. Which might not be a lot to the rest of you....and no, i am not saying how many) is back onto top shelf.....concentrat Keep Smiling | zinyowem
02/10/2003 15:13 | Looks like theres been some kind of cross wires somewhere along the line and this will now drift back to where it started at 0.75p. | rbonnier
02/10/2003 11:14 | Given that some previously firm holders will have taken their profit and that many recent buyers will have bought speculatively and find themselves forced to sell/roll over or else find longer term finance, we have a recipe for a possible nasty crunch returning it to below 1p. The recent gyrations may therefore have the perverse effect of holding it back for months, which is a pity, because it is probably well worth 1p+ on a risk/reward view. All imho and dyor. | boadicea
02/10/2003 10:52 | Whether or not the DM was negligent may be irrelevant if (as implied in post 264) it is referring on 30th Sep to trading on 29th. By then the big rise had already occurred. A mix-up between CYX and Cyprotex is not unlikely and not necessarily malign. I must agree with propane that what the papers say elsewhere is often unrecognisable from the facts but fortunately this does not normally extend to the company information. | boadicea
02/10/2003 09:55 | ajrice, The proof is in the pudding - dont you think? | propane
02/10/2003 09:50 | >>>propane: a very cynical and in my opinion, untrue view. If a newspaper is found to be publishing false information which directly bears upon the share price of a company, it can be heavily fined and it's credibility severely diminished. The iii bb writer's claims could be, and probably are, purely coincidental and that is why he/she should have contacted the DM to ascertain the authenticity of the article. aj. | ajrice
02/10/2003 09:25 | ajrice, My opinion is that papers can, and do, print any rubbish they like and if the story happens to bear any resemblence to fact then that's a bonus!. | propane
02/10/2003 09:16 | >>>propane; thanks for your comments. Re the comment on iii board about the Daily Mail's story being untrue, another contributor has asked if the writer has contacted the Daily Mail to confirm the "mistake". If so, the paper should have published an apology, if not, the writer should unreservedly withdraw his accusation. In my view, because of the possibility of litigation, newspapers very rarely get their stories wrong having double checked all the facts beforehand. Because of this, I am more given to believe the DM rather than some anonymous bb contributor. aj. | ajrice
02/10/2003 08:55 | ADVFN's software works by comparing the trade with the current bid/offer prices and then allocating (guessing) it as a buy or sell depending which price it is nearer to, if the price is 'mid' or the stock is trading very fast at that moment then the software will place a trade as '?', also, it doesnt recognise 'conditions' such as a T or premium trade The 1.45 mill was disclosed on advfn at the end of the accumulation of that 'T' trade but the software compared the price of that trade with the CURRENT price at 1630 and allocated it accordingly, that trade could be a buy or sell. All in my opinion of course and happy to be corrected if necessary. | propane
02/10/2003 08:36 | >>>>propane: I take your point but the 1.45 million trade was clearly posted by ADVFN as a buy. Are you saying that ADVFN are guessing it was a buy. If this is the case surely they would enter it under the T? column. aj. | ajrice |
