19,000 and 54,000 at this price. That's pretty much back pocket money for those two

The way we buy phones and contracts has changed. I just bought an HP Envy 13 laptop from HP online store. £200 cheaper than PCWORLD and 3 years home collect/return thrown in. I would then resell on eBay in a year or two. Related, yes as that's exactly how Carphone warehouse works. eBay and online shopping are DC. Death

Forecasts seem to be around the 20p / 25p EPS. A conservative estimate of 20p would be a p/e of 9 ... probably about right at the moment?

Wow looks so cheap

Well nice dividend coming in September plus see these above 200p in the coming months so happy to hold or add on weakness. Good luck

Broker Forecast - Liberum Capital issues a broker note on Dixons Carphone

Such a huge chunk of goodwill on the balance sheet (in fact it matches the entire net equity).

If the industry gets messy, then that goodwill will be hit by impairment charges, and profits could easily get wiped out.

How much longer will people think £800 phones on 2 year contracts are a must have?

i'm right all this contactless payment stuff will implode soon....
................
Did for me .... Here in the UK yesterday (Leeds centre shopping) 2 quid in change in my pocket and my HSBC Premier card with many thousands in account was refused at rail ticket counter - too many contactless uses apparently (for F's sake I was shopping) ... stuck with not enough money for rail ticket back .... fortunately bank was still open and sorted it otherwise I'd have had a 25 mile walk (or get friends to drive to pick me up).
