During the recent discussions on ADVFN regarding Cropper (James) Plc (CRPR), investors focused on the company's acquisition strategies and trading activities. Notably, comments highlighted the potential implications of block purchases made by concert parties, which some participants perceived as a strategic maneuver rather than typical market transactions. The uncertainty surrounding the number of shares acquired by Cropper raised questions about the company's market presence and investor confidence going forward.
Financially, there were no explicit highlights shared in the recent conversation; however, the sentiment of investors appears cautious yet curious. Participants like "pireric" pointedly referenced the lack of transparency regarding share purchases, while "value viper" expressed skepticism about the volume of shares reportedly bought by Cropper in the open market. This reflects a mixture of intrigue and apprehension toward the company's strategic moves and their potential effect on stock valuation. Overall, the sentiment suggests a wait-and-see approach before taking significant positions based on recent developments in the company's acquisition activities.

Now only valued at net assets. I feel that on that basis the share price should be in the region of £5.00 |
Another solid if a little unspectacular set of results. Future though looks very positive. |
Steady daily rise. Seems to be a lack of stock available. Rise has not flushed out any sellers in this tightly held listing. |
And a very quiet thread as well. The tfp is interesting and I suspect will really start to take off. That coupled with considerable costs reduction will greatly increase profitability here. |
Havent seen any press coverage regarding uptick from £1.70 in recent months. Any specific reasons? |
I think you will see a fairly rapid move to £3. Its good to see institutions start to take an interest. Manafacturing too is gradually moving back to the UK as china is no longer a low cost economy. All looks very rosy here. The new generation of Mark Cropper beginning to make his mark! |
Now due a substantial rerating. |
