01/3/2015 23:06 | Hi montyhedge, sorry for delay in replying. I was driven by reasons in my Blog and the Technical Indicators in the Charts. The Ex Div makes no difference to me - it is in the price already. On the day of Ex Div it will drop by the 10p - that's how they always go. Markets look like falling back in general Short Term - so happy to have topsliced - great Company though and good value - but Markets driven hugely by Waves of Sentiment. My TA view of Markets is at top of my homepage, cheers, wd | thewheeliedealer
27/2/2015 14:28 | Best of the builders imo. Very positive write-up in TMI latest issue. I'll be adding more soon. | aishah
27/2/2015 14:26 | Lol, investors chronicle today, every house builder mentioned was a BUY recommendation. | montyhedge
27/2/2015 07:20 | Thought you would have waited until after the 12th March to get the 10.2p dividend. | montyhedge
26/2/2015 22:12 | Hi all, I topsliced some of my CRST today - great company but I just wanna take a bit of risk off the table. Check out my Blog for the thinking behind this move. Have a nose round my site while you are there - plenty of twaddle to read. Hope you like it, wd | thewheeliedealer
26/2/2015 17:30 | Housebuilders take off again tomorrow, once they read the Investors Chronicle in the morning, I get it first online today. | montyhedge
26/2/2015 16:58 | Housing transactions are likely to fall before the election so there could well be some weakness ahead . In for long run now. | buffetteer
26/2/2015 12:55 | Persimmon tipped in Investors Chronicle article today, good for all house builders. | montyhedge
26/2/2015 12:41 | Going to be interesting last hour of trade today, to see if the big buyers come in late again, they seem to the last moments of trade. | montyhedge
26/2/2015 10:23 | Everyone hoping for a pull back in house builders, to get the juicy dividend. But it's not happening.12th March is our ex div. | montyhedge
26/2/2015 10:19 | I don't think it was. Nearly 700,000 already traded so far today. | montyhedge
26/2/2015 09:38 | That was just the uncrossing trade wasn't it? Not all that unusual to have 1/3 to 1/4 of the day's shares traded in the closing auction I think, but it is nice to see them set a price above the last trade of normal time (444.0 auction vs 442.5 last buy trade). | 1gw
26/2/2015 09:30 | Always late buying of crest last 30 minutes of trade.Yesterday at 4.35pm 120,000 bought at 444p. | montyhedge
25/2/2015 17:30 | Well, that would be very nice, but I'm not sure how it could fit with Barratt's story on discipline through the cycle, capital return, continued excellent land opportunities. Maybe if the land market heats up a lot more, they might make the case that it's more attractive to buy a competitor than bid land up to silly prices, but I don't see any evidence that we're getting to that stage yet. The only builder who's talked about "crazy" prices for land was Redrow I think, and that was in the specific case of some "inside London" opportunities which they thought were being bid up by foreign purchasers. | 1gw
25/2/2015 16:51 | 1gwPerhaps they will bid for Crest, rumours in the press, six moths ago. | montyhedge
25/2/2015 16:45 | Ok hands up who was that buying 120,000 at 444p at 4.35pm. | montyhedge
25/2/2015 09:56 | Just listening to the Barratt call. Very confident on outlook and confirm a very strong start to the calendar year (first 8 weeks). Specifically on the land market, while generally they say it is still very attractive, they acknowledge margins under a bit of pressure in some cases in the SE where companies have set up new divisions and are trying to populate their landbank. Surely they're not having a pop at Crest are they? | 1gw
25/2/2015 08:29 | Seems strange small holders sell in the morning, then late Crest go better as the big boys come in. | montyhedge
24/2/2015 15:56 | Normally last hour of trade is when the institutions buy. So encouraging big boys orders being filled. | montyhedge
24/2/2015 15:44 | Nice recovery this pm, seems to be a bit of a recurring pattern currently, poor mornings, strong afternoons. | sundance 13
24/2/2015 12:43 | Surprised house builders down all beating analyst forecasts. All returning cash in the way of higher dividends. Crest should be around 475p now. | montyhedge
24/2/2015 08:13 | Get that 10.2p divi 12th March ex div. | montyhedge
24/2/2015 08:02 | Wow looks house builders giving cash back to shareholders. | montyhedge
23/2/2015 19:53 | It's worth following, very well run company, already have quite a few and will be getting a few more this week. | sundance 13
23/2/2015 15:26 | Don't follow that company. | montyhedge |
