30/12/2001 11:41 | More than 160 jobs have been safeguarded following the sale of home toiletries and fragrance manufacturer Potter and Moore Group by business turnaround specialists at KPMG Corporate Recovery. They were appointed in June to help the Werrington, Peterborough company, which has continued to trade as a going concern. The business has met its Nemesis - but is overjoyed. The buyer is Nemesis Toiletries Ltd, a newly-formed company, set up as a vehicle for the acquisition. Nemesis Toiletries, which will continue to be based in Werrington, benefits from the combined industry expertise of three directors - CEO Bill Hamilton, chairman Barry Dale and sales & marketing director Roger Roberts. Hamilton was formerly CEO of Creightons plc where Roberts held a sales & marketing role, while Dale was CEO at Littlewoods. Adrian Howlett, corporate recovery director with KPMG in St Albans, said: "We are delighted to have saved the jobs of a large number of employers through the sale. More significantly, this has also enabled the preservation of a business which has traded for over 250 years." Nemesis CEO Bill Hamilton added: "By reorganising and establishing a new focus for the business the board intends to continue to efficiently serve its customer base and remain a major employer in the Peterborough region." -------------------- Creightons PLC 23 December 2001 DEALINGS BY SUBSTANTIAL SHAREHOLDERS 1) NAME OF COMPANY CREIGHTONS PLC 2) NAME OF SHAREHOLDER HAVING A MAJOR INTEREST NEMESIS TOILETRIES LTD 3) Please state whether notification indicates that it is in respect of holding of the Shareholder named in 2 above or in respect of a non-beneficial interest or in the case of an individual holder if it is a holding of that person's spouse or children under the age of 18 - 4) Name of the registered holder(s) and, if more than one holder, the number of shares held by each of them. - 5) Number of shares/amount of stock acquired. 2.6 MILLION 6) ( 5.03 %) of issued Class 7) Number of shares/amount of stock disposed - 8) ( - %) of issued Class 9) Class of security 1P ORDINARY 10) Date of transaction 20/12/01 11) Date company informed 21/12/01 12) Total holding following this notification 2.6 MILLION 13) Total percentage holding of issued class following this notification 5.03% 14) Any additional information - 15) Name of contact and telephone number for queries N O'SHEA 01903 745611 16) Name and signature of authorised company official responsible for making this notification Date of Notification ....23/12/2001.... -------------------- could nemisis be planning a takeover, i think so especially as bill hamilton was ex ceo of creightons and knows the company inside out | mspayne

I am also relaying information published in a newspaper last week. Please do your own research, make up your own mind or ignore this thread. And belsizepark I would welcome constructive observation rather than the blindingly obvious. | rogerthat
