Posted at 09/11/2018 16:16 by owenski This was a cottage industry business, should never have floated, that would've prevented access to capital for the recent insane expansion drive. The business might have then survived and continued playing to it's local roots strength with a loyal staff and customer base. And, I'm always wary when I see investors referring to executives by their first name, I reckon some emotional blinding takes place, he's not your best mate, he's an employee hired to do a job. A few bad calls and a dropping share price doesn't encourage me to be all cozy and I might be inclined to use a different title than CEO, but it'll still start with a 'C'. |
Posted at 31/10/2018 09:15 by owenski At 80p a couple of years back this was an overvalued business, but it was working and made a profit, they decided to hire an incompetent director who succeeded in taking something working and trashing it, big schemes and even bigger egos from a guy who was sacked for previous conduct issues? The share price collapsed at one point from 80p to 40p, to be honest the death signal was given then, the 2S involvement wasn't some sort of salvation, it benefitted 2S to have an outlet to save costs on waste meat of questionable quality. The time to have left this train wreck of a business was circa 40p. To blindly hold on or to think one was buying a bargain in later times was misguided. Hopefully lessons can be gleaned for unsophisticated investors to read the signs and understand businesses better. An expensive lesson maybe, but equally a good way to learn, pain always is a good teacher. Hope no one was wiped out. Always was a bargepole stock in my view, at best it was a niche cottage industry stock and probably shouldn't have been publically listed anyway. Maybe 2S will be handed a bargain, they still need an outlet to offload surplus stock. |

Posted at 28/10/2018 22:43 by playful I'd be more concerned about what prompted the RNS"WH Ireland replaced Peel Hunt and the broker is now advising Crawhsaw on the store closure programme alongside an equity fundraising that could see the company place new stock with investors at between 1p and 1.1p, said sources claiming to be familiar with the matter." For the simple fact this was leaked should send them elsewhere to engage a trusted nomad. They should explore alternative funding and then try and put together a JV with another company to share the high street liabilities. The obvious JV choice is the previous CEO Mr Boyd but he might not be interested now as it's taken a little too long for the penny to drop. |
Posted at 30/8/2018 13:33 by buywell3 Meat eating in the UK is DECLINING , hence what has happened to CRAW is no surprisebuywell3 - 29 Mar 2018 - 07:07:53 - 6097 of 6651 BEEF UP YOUR INVESTMENT - CRAW The problem is as yesterday showed , the BIG holders of CRAW shares are now selling out at 2p They do not see a future for their CRAW investment and have decided to sell , most likely at a BIG loss. What message to other BIG investors does this send ? We shall probably soon start to get RNS's about which Institutions have sold shares. When such RNS's come , they hardly will generate positive traction for the share price. If any newbe or investor is now looking at this ... then they must factor in the likelihood of a cash call coming within days to weeks ... with BIG sells at 2p , then when this happens the cash call is likely to be below 2p. Heavily discounted to whatever the share price is on the day it gets announced by around 30% Problem is ... the CFO has gone/going along with the CEO So who and when will the cash call details be released ? Meantime the share price is dropping and a load of work needs doing by these two who are now negotiating their compensation packages whilst some cash remains The High Steet is now dead and daily press comment is not going to help CRAW but only exacerbate an already bad situation. The high street shops of CRAW are basically worthless and a drag on the business any worth being attached to their resale value. I assume they are all leased |
