· Chevron will carry 100% of CEG Uruguay's share of the costs associated with a 3D seismic campaign on AREA OFF-1, up to a maximum of US$15 million net to CEG Uruguay.

· Following the 3D seismic campaign, should Chevron decide to drill an initial exploration well on the AREA-OFF 1 block, Chevron will carry 50% of CEG Uruguay's share of costs associated with that well, up to a maximum of US$20 million net to CEG Uruguay.////// Well I didn't expect CEG to get a JV for the 3D seismics but CEG will still have to stump up funds IF drilling commences and CEGs share of the costs is over $20m but even so this is unexpected good news. Will I buy in? Nah,buy the rumour sell the news. :) Note 'should Chevron decide to drill' comment in the RNS.

highrisk1 - I’m sure most will agree you are certainly half right! $12.5 million cash from Chevron will stand them in good stead for many years!

Disgraced Compulsive Liar 12bn - I believe you’re the only one who feels losing money for this company is a problem - thinking people understand the proposition and the necessity to spend to develop - back in the day people with a no risk attitude stuck to a Post Office account!

Results will arrive here at some point and they will still show that CEG loses money. In the last results CEG as a group lost $175k-$200k a month. Uruguay will not produce oil for probably years,if ever,so losses will mount up. The euphoria over a JV for the seismics will wear out quickly and boredom will set in long before Chevron even decides whether or not to drill.

I do not say that CEG cannot be a winner,I simply point out that most drilling fails to produce commercially and CEG may not even get to drill if the 3D seismics are poor. It is always best not to wear 'rose coloured glasses' and I am not anyones 'mate'. :)

Come on mate ... good news is good news. It's now a worthwhile investment- My concerns where that the specific block was of no interest- and that CEG would need to raise again before any deal. Both concerns now assuaged -This will be a lovely trader for a while
