28/1/2015 12:48 | the_doctor......exac Mr Corac mk1, was building a mansion and was running out of money before he could get the roof on. Mr Corac mk2, has built a bungalow, quickly, to shelter from the rain,, and has the option to build an extension or two, in the future. (because now, he does have a future). | bullster
28/1/2015 12:29 | 'Three Funds announced an increase in holdings on virtually the same day,( coincidence or heads-up )' the three funds announced on the same day because a massive seller offloaded the stock onto them it seems likely that both seller and buyers were all told in advance about the DGC/IGC being dropped. Maybe in a subtle way that CRA felt avoided insider trading rules, but IMO told they were | the_doctor
28/1/2015 12:27 | 'Top job Phil!!!' To be fair to PC, the aspects HE implemented are doing well: - the Wellman businesses - the newer CET projects The fall has essentially ALL been due to the legacy projects - the DGC - the IGC I'd imagine that if PC had the chance, he would have dumped the compressors as soon as he started at Corac That wasn't of course possible His only option really was to diversify away from them and wind them down slowly, or progress them cautiously The share price has fallen under PC's watch It would have fallen more/ faster if he wasnt there IMO | the_doctor
28/1/2015 12:23 | November RNS:- Three Funds announced an increase in holdings on virtually the same day,( coincidence or heads-up ). January RNS:- Cash performance much improved, with closing position well ahead of market expectations. ( cash sapping DGC shelved ). SO...NOW....Private Investors decide to sell, "unbelievable"!!. | bullster
28/1/2015 11:36 | The DGC "pie in the sky" share price, went long ago. DGC has been shelved for the foreseeable future, to save cash. Corac are set to announce a maiden "near breakeven event", two weeks hence. Can only go up now......" SURELY ". ( ref:3p share price ). | bullster

27/1/2015 20:54 | Just looked at ten companies on the LSE list (Defence)and the lowest PE ratio I could find is 12. After the current orders I would suggest that ACI is heading for a profit of over £3m this year and even if you chip in £1m to central costs ( these costs are falling and not necessarily applicable if ACI is acquired by a large company)the remaining £2m alone would justify a price of well over £20m for this part of Corac alone. I have low balled these figures and the right company could easily value ACI at £25m+ In theory you could buy this entire company for £5m today !! | pavey ark
27/1/2015 18:05 | Personally i think selling now was premature. I am at least waiting for the april rns to find out what the plans are for cet. I have been banging on about cet must start selling something for ages and the have with the spirax deal. I think pc has it spot in. Invest in and get the easy projects to a conclusion first and start selling some damn products. Then possibly go for the moon landings a bit later on if they can do it. | ricardo125

27/1/2015 16:33 | When I said this situation was silly I was understating things somewhat. I have said more than once that I reinvested here because of the engineering acquisitions and recent events have greatly increased the attractiveness of this company. Of course I could see that the year end cash balance would be back to c.£10m (my clue was that the company told me) I laughed when random clowns were suggesting a rights issue. I laughed again when told that they will HAVE TO spend their cash just to make something of the company. When a small company like Corac is chasing large defence contracts, especially overseas,it is vital that potential customers have confidence in their long term viability and the cash does that. Before this recent share price fall and before the recent orders I said that ACI was worth more than the entire market cap. ACI is a niche defence contractor with a very, very strong order book operating with very sound margins. This morning this excellent defence contractor was valued by the market at c.£5m HTT was thrown in for free in spite of looking like making £500k this year. CET,with all its patents and research and its first commercial application; free. Accumulated tax loss for umpteen years.......yes, you've guessed it,..free | pavey ark

27/1/2015 12:15 | After 8 years investment on the anticipated success / development of the DGC project I am sorry to say that I have now called it a day and sold my entire holding. What a painful exercise this has been but I have to accept that the massive losses incurred are entirely down to my blind faith in the ultimate success of the project. A harsh lesson learned. Good luck to all who continue to hold. | tiger1234
27/1/2015 12:01 | So much for closing the gap between the value of the company and the share price. Top job Phil!!! | secretsqu

27/1/2015 11:46 | Ah, there we have it I'm afraid I was surprised to see the share price up on that last update Up more on news of the DGC AND IGC being dropped than on news of the new ACI orders While the DGC was largely out of the price (well, most posters accepted it was out), the IGC was still a hopeful. I note that none of those who attacked me for suggesting a couple of months back that the DGC was being quietly dropped, have returned to apologise! It's hard to assess what value the non compressor CET projects have. Aside from that, Corac is left as a small engineering firm which maybe has enough to justify a £10m market cap There's little to suggest this company will suddenly take off Pavey 'things just went very silly indeed' The product that all of Corac's past value and reason for being was based on, failed in trials and has been discontinued (the DGC) There was then hope in the IGC becoming a decent product.... and that has also been terminated. What we're left with in CET is a couple of new projects of fairly unclear potential (IMO). It's possible Corac will have to spend most of its cash to get them somewhere? Other than it not being expensive, I see little reason to buy this stock? | the_doctor

27/1/2015 11:24 | Just had to buy more. This is the most silly and illogical situation I have seen in thirty years investing in shares. Happy to sit on my fairly large holding built up at 5/6p but things just went very silly indeed. | pavey ark
