There was one comment on this board a couple of weeks ago, when I shared SHG's excellent drills results for comparative reasons, that went along the lines of...

"Yeah but they're a producer and not an explorer they'll deplete their mineral resource"

Apparently just leaving it in the ground, is how real companies do it nowadays.

It's a gold share, so any news for us holders is bad news at the moment, Chesty.

I suspect, though, that it is an excellent time for dealers to accumulate cheap stock from short term traders, but we'll have to wait our turn.

I look at the share price movement today and think that the negative attitude to gold is behind it all, so any news has to be read as bad news, even if it's potentially good news. You can understand the company and its backers being over the moon about today's announcement ; as their fees and bonuses are guaranteed for a long time to come. Oh that investors could feel the same way.

Then I also think that maybe the more astute investors here and elsewhere think the story is not being interpreted correctly. It's those with the big money who'll be the real beneficiaries of the Returns from CORA, so there cannot be and there never will be a level playing field. If so, just another example of making the uber rich even richer at the expense of the rest of us, as usual. Another small example of greed creating such a lop sided playing field that the whole edifice must come crashing down at some point.

But then it's only human nature to grab as much as you can for yourself. Yes, the elite bankers and there friends have taken a risk, but looking at the original financing plans, it seems to me that even then, the downside for them at the time was very low.

What's new !

I was interested to read today's announcement by OMI, who are going to be involved in a JV with Newmont/Agnico. The grades look very good, but no better than Cora's. Is it at all possible at this early stage, and ignoring Plat's overriding negativity, to compares the two, purely on mining merits alone ? I have a relatively small holding in OMI, but a much larger one here.

HUM is one of many, take your pick. I'll be adding Cora at some point Q2g. Don't confuse factual posts as smear campaign against a (so far atleast) good company.I just envisage the price will be a lot cheaper 18 months down the line from here given the facts and if I can point and jeer at some of the clowns on the way then that's my interest until i execute ;-P

If you want to hold in producers then don't post here. Everyone can work out Cora is an explorer. That carries risk and opportunity, we all get it. We don't need your futile posts constantly reminding us that shares can go down as well as up. If I want that level of advice I would ask Hargreaves Lansdown.

At this stage, nobody is comparing CORA will profitable producers. That would be silly. HUM made a mistake, and seemingly a big one at that, 'dumping'(as you call it) an area that is now coming up with excellent grades. I agree though, that it will never be another Hummingbird, thank goodness, though you do seem to spend a lot of time on that thread.

I hold a fair wedge in many gold producers Q2g, the whole sector is unloved and undervalued.

Note the important bit in that.. (producers and unloved) it's the cheapest way to buy gold. You've got to stop comparing CORA to profitable producers, simply because CORA aren't producing or profitable but don't let facts like that stop you from chasing the dream of only producing 40% of HUM from a site they spun off and dumped on the open market.

This will never be a Hummingbird, ambition and balance sheet doesn't quite match the asset here. JV partner needed or it'll be another Serabi gold in the best case scenario. Down she goes

Plat Hunter is just jealous, thinking that the sins of his beloved Hummingbird, that never goes anywhere, will be visited on Cora. Thus is Cora, Plat, not Hummingbird.

It told us that the DFS will build upon the scoping study in consideration of the new drilling results and updated MRE as well as discussions with lionhead to align the Term sheet. So you can forget about IIR and the payback rate. All of that is now an unknown until the DFS lands.

Bigger plant, bigger costs and more dilution required to fund the equity part of the debt. And you have to wait until the the second half of 2022 for any meaningful update on the matter, which is anything from 9/15 months away.

Won't be long until the rampers are just pasting their generic ramps from a clipboard. It's the poor saps that the vexatious rampers managed to unload onto at 19p with their promises of more to come is who I feel sorry for.

Yeah ! Let's find gold, but not bother to inform investors how the company plans to get the stuff out of the ground and sell it. That's irrelevant. LOL

The RNS didn't say anything we didn't already know. So hardly solid. Pointess IMO.
