03/4/2006 09:56 | Another link for which to gain some FACTUAL background on the DRC. Elections shortly..... Communications and Infrastructure The infrastructure of the DRC has been adversely affected by the conflict in the country. Many facilities have been damaged or are too dangerous to use. Natural disasters such as flooding and the eruption of volcanoes have added to the destruction and dereliction of much of the country's infrastructure. Nice rns at ACU today...... | blessings
03/4/2006 08:49 | "Among the businessmen in the elite network, a Belgian national, George Forrest, pioneered the exploitative joint venture agreements between private companies and Gécamines. Mr. Forrest owes his commercial ascendancy to his long-standing ties to the establishment in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. One of his companies also makes and markets military equipment. Since 1994, he has owned 100 per cent of New Lachaussée in Belgium, which is a leading manufacturer of cartridge casings, grenades, light weapons and cannon launchers. In a flagrant conflict of interest, Mr. Forrest was appointed Chairman of Gécamines from November 1999 to August 2001 while his private companies negotiated new contracts with the explicit intention of using Gécamines' assets for personal gain. During that time he built up the most wide-ranging private mining portfolio in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He benefits from strong backing from some political quarters in Belgium where some of his companies are based. His operations have been strongly criticized (one Belgian diplomatic cable referred to Mr. Forrest running a "strategy of attrition" in the mining sector of the Democratic Republic of the Congo) and have recently come under the scrutiny of the Belgian Senate's investigation into resource exploitation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. 03/4/2006 07:35 | MMK has direct access to extensive infrastructure tarmaced roads, the electricity grid, it's own backup generators & a concentrator (with a new upgrade also planned). Kinsenda has a high copper content, local support & the project has a very high NPV return (67%) based on a long term copper price half the current rate. Kinsenda will be producing 54,000 tonnes of copper at an operating cost of 0.68c /lb within 18 months, rising to 100,000 tonnes ultimately. At current market prices thats £295.785m / £547.478m per year! You also have no idea what the ground around the mine contains to say that the flooded water contains Cadmium, Mercury, etc. The last time these sites were mined was between 1983-1987 which is 20 years ago not 40! In May 2003, the government and Ninja rebels signed an agreement to end hostilities. Try doing some research in future! | pinhead3
02/4/2006 23:42 | .Definition:bull trap A situation that occurs when prices break above a significant level and generate a buy signal, but suddenly reverse course and negate the buy signal, thus "trapping" the bulls that acted on the signal with losses. | blessings
02/4/2006 22:28 | Blessings The half warrant is effectively a future placing at 75p, the total of all the warrants, assuming they are taken up will bring in another £5.1m. If the warrants lapse then the company has lost nothing as the price will be significantly above £1 in 2 years time | pinhead3
02/4/2006 22:23 | Cool, I just wish I'd found CRC earlier in the year! Good that I've also got the one above it, VOG & that Knowing is bottom of the league! | pinhead3
02/4/2006 22:18 | Blessings, it is a pity you have the concentration span of a attenton deficient child and have done no research into this stock. You will not be missed. For all others who trade and hold CR, see how we are doing in the stocks challenge - a steady play at number five - | wassapper

02/4/2006 22:12 | 'will be happy with 120p by mid-year and c 200p by end pre-precution ramp-up.' Wassapper That is exactly my prediction/target for this year. £10 in the long term future is a possibilty but would depend on further projects & increases in the price of copper. | pinhead3
02/4/2006 22:09 | A price of £10 per share is perfectly feasible in certain scenarios with the copper price as it is today. Currently CRC trdaes on a pe of about 1.5 after dilution (this is just a very rough update of the calcs I did last December. Given that it should have a pe of c 10, you have 7 time upside in DRC alone. The rest could come from Other projects (and everyone seems to have forgoten about Namibia). I will be happy with 120p by mid-year and c 200p by end pre-precution ramp-up. | wassapper
02/4/2006 22:04 | could be to do with the statement re 'further projects' | bigbobjoylove
02/4/2006 21:18 | Sure if the price of copper hit £10/lb! | pinhead3
02/4/2006 18:25 | suppose it would depend on the copper price... | bigbobjoylove
02/4/2006 16:16 | £15 is unsubstantiated with the current assets, sounds very much like a pump & dump attempt to me. £2 by the end of 2006 is certainly very possible. | pinhead3
02/4/2006 15:07 | a certain small co broker is pushing these to their clients as 'potential to go north of £15 i am led to believe.. over 100p by tuesday. | bigbobjoylove
31/3/2006 16:48 | t trade above offer- this will be fun come monday | nikesh2
31/3/2006 14:40 | 2ngh Yes, got in this morning. Looking good for the next up leg. I do like a chart which has small pauses on the way up. | e-boffin
31/3/2006 14:09 | Nicksig There is a relatively small amount of shares in free circulation at the moment (approx 8.5M) so any strong run of buys will push the price up quickly. Well you can see that from the chart! | pinhead3
31/3/2006 14:07 | Anyone holding now should wait until after the METS report (in May) on Haib before selling. | pinhead3 |
