This should attract takeover interest IMO. All these resource companies short of cash will be looking at the likes of CDC. And there is no big shareholder here to block a bid

but then they'd be putting themselves out of work and most importantly to them, wages. None of these so called 'cash plays' are liquidating and returning cash. I wonder why?

The copper price was 50% higher in 2010. That would certainly help in commercialising the mine. An option would be to return 3p cash to shareholders now and keeping trying to flog the mine. Its in the books for 6p per share.

Mitchell Alland took Copper Resources Corp to the wall with the same assets;

Further to the announcement on 12 Dec 2008, the directors of Copper Resources Corp have decided it is appropriate to cancel admission of the shares at the earliest opportunity. Directors consider the costs associated with an AIM listing are disproportionate to the benefits of being listed.

Re-listed as Copper Development Corp and set to go to the wall again. To think Mitch will divvy out the last few million to shareholders is rather naive. They will likely continue spending it on themselves in the name of working capital
