20/9/2011 06:58 | the bid was announced when the stock was at 6.5p... so it was at a premium to the price at the time.and those earnings forecasts did the rest to drive it up | moreforus
20/9/2011 06:57 | If iloveit were still around he would be wailing and organising protest marches. As it is he has had the last laugh, as he sold at something like 20% above the bid price. I knew the bid was never going to be 20p but this is lower than I expected. It proves the old adage that in any business cash is king and the cash position at Coolabi has always been poor. The takeover boys are taking advantage. The only redeeming feature for exisiting shareholders is that they can aline themselves with the offerors and take shares in North. But somehow I doubt that that will lead to a happy ending. | orange1
20/9/2011 06:53 | learn a lesson i suppose. if you're in profit on AIM. take the bloody thing regardless of wot may or may NOT come!! espec if the profit is more than a bank would give. | moosh2
20/9/2011 06:51 | So much for a broker forecast of 2p eps for 2011. What substance were they on? It it incredibly disappointing on all fronts. I feel very lucky to have sold up and feel anger on behalf of those who did not. I have always thought 11p would have been about right: but 7.75p is less than derisory and even that is not guaranteed!? However, that was on the basis of forecasts that look little more than fiction today. | saucepan
20/9/2011 06:36 | Lord G..both his shares? | moreforus
19/9/2011 09:23 | someuwin - the rns was put out as there is a new rule on the lse that bidders need to show their hands ... consequently quite a few rns today | moreforus
19/9/2011 06:45 | Bid hopes fading? Looks like its 'put up or shut up' time. | someuwin
14/9/2011 14:01 | Anna Hewitt has gone to Walker Books who COO signed a deal with recently for "scream Street" | bbd2
14/9/2011 13:55 | Coolabi names licensing head 13 September, 2011 | By Ben Dowell Entertainment producer and rights management company Coolabi has appointed a new head of licensing. Natasha Dyson, who most recently ran the licencing division of Chapman Entertainment, will also oversee heritage TV titles Bagpuss, Clangers and Ivor the Engine as well as pre-school book series Poppy Cat, Purple Ronnie and teen girls property Scarlett & Crimson. The last 12 months have seen Coolabi's activity grow across its licensing and production divisions. Next year Poppy Cat, which airs on Nick Jr, will roll out internationally following this autumn's US launch on Sprout. Coolabi chief executive Jeremy Banks said: "Natasha has an impressive track record in working on major international brands and she is going to be a great asset to Coolabi as we ramp up activity for the year ahead. "We are delighted to have secured someone of her calibre as we continue to grow our properties both in the UK and worldwide." | bbd2
10/9/2011 18:45 | Yep - those 5,000 shares must have been burning a hole in his pocket. Perhaps he can treat himself to a wet weekend in Weymouth on the proceeds. Perhaps we should advertise that this thread now has a vacancy for a resident muppet. | lord gnome
10/9/2011 10:34 | hasn't iloveit been ramping a-go-go?! waiting for RNS - if offer comes, hopefully it'll be more than 11p. if offer doesn't come, then share price could drop, which creates an excellent top-up to buy into a company where a lot of groundwork for future growth has already been done (Poppy cat deals etc). no brainer to me so it's a hold irrespective of takeover success. frankly win-win either way as i see it. and besides, half-yearly due end of month so we gets to see wot kind of £ progress COO have been up to, providing no takeout by then. la la la. | moosh2
08/9/2011 13:12 | Greetings bbd2 Is not the case that once you have transferred shares to your sipp you cannot receive beneficial ownership back? The only benefits you are entitled to are upon retirement or perhaps upon transfer to another pension fund. If so and if your point that he has bought the shares, is correct then this would be a new purchase. iloveit - I sympathise but the co's fundamentals seem good anyway so even if the t/o does not proceed our investmenst should still have value. All imho so dyor | maytrees
08/9/2011 12:37 | Interesting RNS. Leonard Licht sold exactly the same amout of shares to Alliance Trust Pensions Ltd for his SIPP in 2009 and now it looks like he has bought them back. I wonder why ? | bbd2

01/9/2011 08:58 | Hard to interpret much from recent holdings RNSs but share price has slipped on some selling. Hopefully merely some PI cold feet rather than indicative of talks ending. | maytrees
31/8/2011 09:48 | But time to redeem yourself iloveit with your trademark: "Market makers shaking the tree here, I feel, at this BARGAIN price. Anyone topping up?" | orange1

31/8/2011 07:28 | L2 is currently 1v5. Not the slightest chance of a tick up in the immediate future! | lord gnome
