31/3/2022 11:56 | Taken some of these. Repeating the above, but 7.8% dividend (at today's sp) baked in for this year, and the Brazil cash onto the books. Personally I'd prefer them to distribute that rather than de-lever / reinvest; but happy with their call on that either way. | spin doctor
22/3/2022 13:56 | Would be great if they used the Brazil sale to de-lever a bit The hold Co leverage has IMO held back the share price here (and lack of liquidity/small free float) | williamcooper104
22/3/2022 13:38 | Only 7 more trading days to ex-divi & 4 divis payable within next 9 months, with 10% increase due in May & potential special divi from Brasil sale too. | woodhawk
21/3/2022 10:06 | Goldman Sachs raises Contourglobal price target to 208 (206) pence - 'neutral' .................... That's real big of them to add 2p to their target... after those results too!?! | woodhawk
21/3/2022 09:45 | Added the DIVI thread to my favourites. I was not not aware of it till now. Cheers Aleman. | gateside
21/3/2022 07:42 | Thanks Aleman - it alerted me to the DIVI thread which I was previously oblivious to. | woodhawk
21/3/2022 07:29 | No need for apologies. It's just that we get occasional outbreaks of such discussion about yield options on individual company threads. It would be great if we could have sustained general discussion about yield stocks somewhere. I'm more promoting the DIVI thread as the solution. I'm not criticising people for having the discussion if they are not aware the DIVI thread exists for that purpose. | aleman
20/3/2022 20:51 | Aleman, Sorry it was my fault, Woodhawk is a good poster and I was just curious what else he's in. | turvart
20/3/2022 20:07 | Could people please take more generalised dividend chatter to the DIVI thread rather then clogging up specific company threads? Clearly people want to compare notes on different yield shares, and that includes me. There does not appear to be another similar dividend thread on ADVFN so it would be great if we could get more input on the DIVI thread to share yield strategies and opportunities as they develop. It gets posts in fits and starts but would greatly benefit from a bit more posting volume there. The GLO thread could then concentrate on ContourGlobal issues. Thanks. | aleman
19/3/2022 15:47 | Turvart... Of those mentioned I have APF HFEL IMB NESF PHNX RIO I've also done well with BATS, SHEL, & AZN so far this year I tend to focus on larger companies - but I have faith that EML will do well. Worth a look. They are just waiting for their final permit for the potash mine in Morocco. | gateside
19/3/2022 15:45 | No problem - the more winners the better! I'm quite happy overall, I think a lot of mine are currently significantly undervalued. Great divis rolling in month-by-month means I always have funds available to buy any dips, or exploit new opportunities, as necessary. | woodhawk
19/3/2022 15:35 | Woodhawk, Very good portfolio you have, I'm certainly buying into NESF Monday and I'm thinking about APF too. Thanks for sharing your portfolio with me. | turvart
19/3/2022 15:09 | Ooops, sorry HFEL (Henderson Far Eastern Limited). PHNX - Pheonix. | woodhawk
19/3/2022 15:07 | Just had a look at APF and NESF, I like both but NESF really caught my attention, I like APF but I'm wondering if AAL still may be better? Have you got the ticker right for HEFL? can't see to find it? will have a look at PHNK. | turvart
19/3/2022 14:59 | APF is currently the most exciting prospect, imo. Good quarterly divi, circa 6%, but possibility of imminent cap gains too. Results in 7 trading days. | woodhawk
19/3/2022 14:23 | I'm in GLO, DLG, LGEN, PSN, RIO and MNG of your holdings, I'm also in EVR, FXPO, HEAD, BARC, AAL and ANTO. I will have a look at APF, HEFL, NESF and PHNX. IMB and also BATS I buy sometimes if cheap. Thanks for sharing I will have a look. I have 6 like Gateside, which 6 do you have gateside? | turvart
19/3/2022 12:30 | I hold 6 of those.Great minds think alike! | gateside
19/3/2022 12:16 | These are my mainstays - APF, DLG, HEFL, IMB, LGEN, MNG, NESF, PHNX, PSN, RIO. | woodhawk
19/3/2022 11:10 | Woodhawk, What else are you in? I'll have a look as I am expanding my portfolio. | turvart
18/3/2022 19:29 | I have plenty of time, Turvart. I'm primarily here for the quarterly divi (and potential special too).... but a capital gain is never unwelcome! | woodhawk
18/3/2022 18:52 | Woodhawk, Give this a few days for the news to get around and it will be flying, wouldn't be surprised to see 225p before the end of March. | turvart
18/3/2022 16:08 | A bit of a breakout from the downtrend poss too! Great divi, likely special later this year too. Great stuff - onwards and upwards! | woodhawk
18/3/2022 16:00 | Downtrend broken on 7th march looks like the bottom | rolo7
18/3/2022 07:14 | Yes, indeed. Looking forward to further news of the Brasil sale in due course. So potential yield, with 10% increase, circa 7.6%, covered 2.8 times, at current share price plus potential special divi from Brasil sale. Very nice indeed. | woodhawk
18/3/2022 07:04 | Great set of results today! onwards and upwards! | turvart |
