Suspension of Shares

Continental Coal Limited ("the Company") announces that its shares have been placed in a trading halt on the ASX and in a suspension on the AIM market pending the release of an announcement on the potential refinance and/or restructure of its Convertible Notes that mature from November 2013 to February 2014 and clarification of its financial position. The Company currently expects to be able to make a further announcement on this by Wednesday 8 January 2014.

You know I was positive as both of us were in communication with Jason who has since left but this 'seems' bad.

Of course Don was positive two weeks ago as he was in sales overdrive trying to attract finance/a partner.

Code I'm a holder and I have written my money off...anything else would be a real surprise.

It simply costs too much to run this operation....any potential partner would see the desperation COOL are in and just buy the assets from the administrators.


I owned shares in a company and was in constant communication with the chairman....a week before they went bust he was telling me everything was rosey soon as they went bust...he changed his number and that was that....vanished into thin air....it's the ole AIM casino.....spin the wheel and place your bets...

'Pending clarification of financial position' implies a move to appoint administrators within the month. The Company's working capital deficit was $26 million at mid-2013 with refinancing of $16m of that sum delayed from Oct to Nov then Dec, so shouldn't come as a surprise to shareholders.

just bringing a balanced view to the board
do not bury your heads and pray the share price goes up - as it has fallen for the last few yrs and has not stopped until now
the boys on the aussie board have called this correct todate
i was a holder - set a stop limit and bailed
been looking to re enter - but nothing has fundamentally changed here - therefore the price aint going to rise
hope it does - as i hate shorters - however i am a realist

Big boys just refuse to fund cool via a JV or buy in option and cool go bust and big boys get the assets cheap....isn't that the way the business world works?

Code677 what a load of rubbish, it's suggest that no one knows if the announcement is negative or not, if it was a game over announcement I don't think they would have bothered with a trade halt, they would have just announced game over.
