Chrosys, the broken record, sounds like sour gapes to me, give me an example of a junior mining company that hasent traded water this year. The great - Great land gold with Newcrest as a major backer is down more than 50% as are most of the other juniors but what is your point in harping on Re conroy. Mabey it's your mission in life to knock old conroy but I suspect very soon he will have the last laugh. This time next year, I expect the share price to be more than double what it is now, in the short term, it could go anywhere. Enjoy the ride

Conroy's repeated playing to the gallery on Proactiveinvestor, banging on about the same old, same old  8.8M oz when all he's had for over a decade is 0.2M indicated (i.e. likely) and 0.3M inferred (i.e. possible) smacks of desperation and is ill-conceived. It won't impress Demir or their consultants. It's aimed at mug punters here to prop up the share price

It also indicates the company's weakness and shows his hand in negotiations. Demir must know full well that he has no other options, and that if this fails, no other serious investor is likely to touch it. The longer they string him along the more tainted he will be if it then goes pear shaped, and so the deeper they sink the hook. Hence the protracted tyre-kicking. My bet is the JV, if any, will be on significantly different terms than announced, post Demir's due diligence. Unlike Conroy, they are not amateurs at this.

All these things you tell us to expect have no groundings and are based on your total bias against the company.What you should expect is that by this stage the deal is well and truly on,and we can expect it to happen.The deal will obviously be good for both parties.The company has marked our cards on what to expect.It has taken a long time to get to this point.A lot of investors along the way have lost money by investing at the wrong time.Now,is the right time and at a ridiculously low market cap.See where the share price is in 1-3 months!

IMO if you believe Conroy dumped AAZ at the 11th hour for a better deal, you are deluded. However it was spun, and we weren't flies on the wall, the reality was probably closer to this:

AAZ, with probable off-the record major shareholder pushback about inappropriate expansion, lack of focus, and on a full technical appraisal of the pitfalls, likely pulled out.

If you believe that they didn't have a sufficiently tight HoA to prevent jilting at the altar, nor, as a succesful gold miner were not savvy enough to identify project downsides, then you probably shouldn't be investing in natural resources. Any company that wants something, has invested time and treasure, and is cheated by a minnow, will litigate. They wanted out, and let Conroy spin it as a "victory" out of goodwill.

To Demir, who let's face it are primarily a base metals/coal/construction/trading company, gold and Ireland are very peripheral. Chances are Conroy was desperate to save face post-AAZ, and they were taking a punt. They do, however, have a lot more experience in M&A's and project appraisals than CGNR.

As such, they are likely to insist on a full evaluation and  audit, including confirmatory drilling (we know the latter is true). They will likely use a 1st tier consultancy, like Snowden or SRK to manage this, unlike the 2nd tier consultants that CGNR can afford, and because they are a top level client, and because this involves serious tyre kicking, expect the results to be thorough and critical. It's the consultants job to gain the best position for the client, and avoid liability for any oversights.

This is 180° opposed to previous "studies" and "paid research" where the objective was to glitter-coat the company within the limitations of professional conduct.

In the event that Demir do not walk, on receiving the warts'n'all report, expect a serious renegotiation to the detriment of CGNR and its shareholders.
