hazl - i would say for initial drill results they are excellent
and hints at the potential of very high grade mineralization

the long term holders/investors have allowed the traders to make their money and are now beginning to step in

I think the thing about that rns is the gold grades and quantities.

It is all about balance for a portfolio.
For someone with only 5 grand. It be better to put £5,000 into ten very slowly over the course of many months into each one. The best time to select each one is from researching announcements that come out before 8am. I know this as this was the reason I was in Ascent, Connemara, Kalamitan Gold and Ferrex.

On a second note in my experience, the one you think will do the best, usually turns out to be the worst. Such as Oxus Gold.

All in all I can afford what has happened to me, because I can save enough to buy 2 new investments every month.

Tivoli - all depends on what stage in the commodity cycle you buy - virtually everything bought 4/5 years ago will be massively down now. Agree though, now is the time for purchases to lock away and forget about for a few years.

I remember when the in and out traders sold this one almost at the same time they bought them. Just shows how daytrading and short term trading never works.
I had same experience with Ascent, Kalamitan Gold and Ferrex. 6 months later all went up 3 times + after I sold out.

These are encouraging results from Connemara Mining that show the presence of a gold bearing vein system on the Inishowen licences. The objective will be to discover a similar multi-vein system resource to Dalradian Resources' high grade 3.5 million ounce gold deposit at Curraghinalt that lies around 40 miles to the south of the Inishowen licences. A current market cap for Connemara Mining of £0.7m understates the potential that could lie ahead, subject to funding, for further discoveries at Inishowen, along with progress on other ground held by the Group in Ireland. To this end, Dowgate Capital continue to recommend Connemara Mining as a 'Buy'.

Connemara Mining (AIM: CON) announces the commencement of a preliminary drilling programme on their gold licences in Inishowen, County Donegal. The drilling programme follows successful results from trenching conducted at the end of 2015, which returned positive results including; 0.80m at 7.95g/t Gold and 1.1m at 1.78g/t Gold. Four short diamond drill holes will target the positive trenching results at depth and along strike to assess vein continuity and grade.

John Teeling, Chairman, commented "The drilling, which starts today in Donegal is the next step on a long road toward a potential commercial gold discovery. The journey can stop at any time. These four holes are to indicate whether the gold bearing rock found in trenching in late 2015 continues at depth and horizontally."

John Teeling, Chairman, commented, "The Oldcastle block of 5 licences was identified by Connemara as having characteristics similar to those of the giant Navan zinc/lead mine to the east. The two exploration holes recently drilled support this proposition. While the lead/zinc mineralisation is far from commercial, it is there and the 92.45 metres of an elevated sulphide zone is tantalising. These initial results are encouraging and more drilling is warranted."
