VPX(TM) rugged GPGPU/CPU combination
Concurrent Technologies Plc (AIM: CNC), a world leading specialist in the design and manufacture of high-end embedded computer boards for critical applications, is pleased to announce a VPX(TM) computational solution in conjunction with Eizo Rugged Solutions, Inc.
The BA 9TR/301 is an innovative product which combines a high performance Eizo Rugged Solutions' General-Purpose Graphics Processing Unit (GPGPU) with a Concurrent Technologies' Central Processing Unit (CPU) board that utilises an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 acting as a powerful management engine. Both of these processors are housed in a ruggedized, conduction-cooled frame to allow operation within a temperature range of -40degC to +85degC.
The BA 9TR/301 delivers very high computational performance along with excellent system connectivity in an optimised Size, Weight, Power and Cost (SWaP-C) solution. This makes it particularly suitable for image analysis, typically on-board reconnaissance aircraft, or geological analysis and can even be used for crypto currency mining.
