No surprise to see a new auditor appointed after last year's debacle.

The % for the older holdings notices will have been potentially impacted by the recent placing, but they are there or thereabouts.

I may be wrong but I think fund managers such as Lombard Odier only have to declare holdings of 5% and over

It would be interesting to know if they bought those 5 million shares on the open market. If so it must be for some time as only 2 million shares were traded from when the share price was 75p until now. So if L O were buying in October they didn’t have much effect on stemming the fall. It will be interesting to see if some lasting confidence has been restored by LO taking 5%. It’s always possible that they had just under 3% before so haven’t bought all 5 million recently.

Don't know where Lombard got their shares from as the share price performance doesn't imply it was the open market ?

Washington Post - 27/10/23

Unless the defense industrial base is urgently enlarged, America’s military will be, as some policy experts have observed, like a great football team that can play only through the first quarter. Hence, Wicker’s conclusion: “We are in our most dangerous security moment since World War II.”

Sleepy,

That'll be down the CFO. She's expanded the tendering and accounting staff and is brining in new software systems.

It looks a profitable and growing sector, Abaco's UK/European division did this before Covid hit:

Abaco Systems Limited accounts to year ending December 2020:

-Turnover: £106.6m up from £98.6m
-PBT: £26.4m up from £23.8m

Abaco's 2022 results were filed recently:

-Turnover: £61.8m down from £87.2m
-PBT: £3.4m down from £10.8m

Abaco note in the results that a shortage of microchips adversely impacted revenue.

Presumably there is little doubt about growth but will it be truly profitable growth?

I genuinely wish Miles and the company the best and hope the fairly ambitious growth plan succeeds.

I'm watching with interest.

Simon,

Kevin Rountree at Games Workshop seems to have done a pretty decent job without any options :-)

Miles is certainly appearing pretty profligate with the issue of shares be it options or an unnecessary placing for a tiny acquisition when they were forecast to have £9m cash at YE.

Thank you for chasing -- much more perseverance! Since it's the same deck and therefore one hour of incremental time, I would expect a small cap like CNC to talk directly to private investors. I appreciate it's Miles's first public CEO role and he may have been advised - wrongly in my view - to focus on the instis. If management is unwilling, I'd be happy if they followed large, well advised companies like Volution and Croda who create a level playing field for private investors by making public their analysts presentations including the Q&A.

I also emailed SEC in the run up to the Interims to request an IMC. Then I phoned them after to request a copy of the analyst call, then I emailed to chase up. Nothing happened. After your post today I phoned SEC again and got through to someone new and he was energised and going to get on the case right away. I think he will sort it. Whether we get the analyst questions at the end is an open question. The cheapest way for the company is to just put the recordings of the analyst calls on their site. Means they don't need to do it twice and it saves money. A win, win.

Great, thank you Simon. I had asked SEC Newgate by email about a private investor call at the time of the interims and received no response. (I stopped buying at that point because of the hygiene concern, so my position is c. 20% below the level I'd been working towards.)

Somerset,

I spoke with SEC Newgate this afternoon and they're going to ask CNC if they could upload the video of the Interim analyst video call to the website.
