04/9/2015 09:18 | I remember not that long ago this was an AIM darling 60m BT challenger. Now it's that old bump along the bottom survivor Redstone Telecom, I'm sure they were around in the dotcom days. Does anyone know what happened inbetween? | gerryjames
02/9/2015 10:47 | Doesn't exactly inspire confidence does it...... "the average price was given as 4.5 pence but this should have read 0.45 pence per share" | mortimer7

06/8/2015 10:36 | IMO YES. They own 16% are close to the Chairman so will have the inside steer, rumours that the large contract will that Redstone won on the smart buildings side is extremely significant and a big reason Mark Braund took the CEO role. DYOR etc. | jasonoranged
06/8/2015 10:33 | helium have added to their holding- i diidnt knw they were invested ?- is this significant? | ali47fish
02/8/2015 14:05 | So insanity it is then. At 5p the market cap will be £70m. How many billions will they be turning over Less? Amazon! Positively certifiable. | kemche
02/8/2015 09:23 | History is gone. The old COMS is dead, the new Redstone is the future, business model refined margins improved, bit like Amazon Ocado etc. New Smart building contract is a game changer, huge apparently. 12 month target here 5p. Easy. | eric moreorless
01/8/2015 20:50 | Jimless, What margin is Redstone making? By my calculation it is 0.8%! That is before the central costs. Then of course there are the legacy issues to be dealt with - how much will that cost? The figures below are from the latest accounts which show just how grim the picture is: Turnover Redstone 29,468 Darkside Studios 1,099 Profit contribution before central costs: Redstone 246 Darkside Studios 51 Central admin costs (1,770) Therefore "normal loss" on continuing business = £1.473m Now let's for argument's sake say that Redstone is the best thing since sliced bread. Let's also say that Darkside just pootles along and does the same next year - so £1m turnover and and 50k profit contribution. If the Redstone margin remain the same (and there is nothing to say they will improve) then what turnover do you think it needs to make for COMS to achieve breakeven - let alone a profit? By my calculations they will need to achieve a turnover of £ 207,108,433 which at a margin of 0.83% will give a profit contribution of £1,719,000 plus the £51,000 from Darkside will give them the £1,770,000 to cover their overheads - all for zilch profit. Now obviously in the world of make believe, where someone posts "this is about to go up" ad nauseam, everything is possible. But ask yourself this Jimless - is it probable? Remember the old adage: Turnover is vanity, profit is sanity. And talking about sanity, over to you Jimless. | kemche
31/7/2015 15:22 | Agreed investors champion ! | value viper
31/7/2015 11:12 | Jimless, what is your initial take on these results? The words "unmitigated" and "bloodbath" spring to mind. The balance sheet has been transformed to BS. The current operations appear to me to be sub-scale to support the overheads. The net current liabilities will not be solved by a paltry £1m. The wish for organic growth may be just that. The entire narrative is a fascinating account of financial profligacy on a grand scale bordering on megalomania. How much money was squandered on fanciful and ill conceived schemes? We are still left with unquantifiable litigation/contingen But that is only an opinion. | kemche
