sphere - i wanted to get in as a new investor hoping the share price wil come off a bit sinc this morning- do you know who the seller might be - an institution perhaps and why should they be selling?

Decent buying coming in here this morning. I'm sure alot know why that is. There have been sellers in size at 350 here preventing the breakout, even the Naked Trader tip couldn't get the stock through there.

There are some interesting chunks going through as I type now though with around 1.7m exchanged within the last 10 minutes. Watching to see if the stubborn sellers can be cleared at these levels to allow that 350 resistance to be breached.

Berenberg: Codemasters is underappreciated.

Investors do not appreciate the potential in gaming group Codemasters (CDM), which has the ability to make gains in mobile games and potential acquisitions.

Analyst Sean Thapar retained his ‘buy’ recommendation and target price of 400p on the shares, which were trading at 338p yesterday.

He said the full-year results were ‘largely as expected’ but the outlook was positive ‘highlighting the strong release pipeline and further gaming-as-a-service revenue growth’.

‘There were also incremental positives on the potential contribution from a successful mobile game and possible new acquisitions,’ said Thapar.

‘Given the 20% valuation discount to peers, we continue to believe investors’ expectations fail to appreciate the potential.’

Peel Hunt: Formula One franchise could drive Codemasters

Codemasters (CDM) results were in line and Peel Hunt says it is ‘more optimistic’ about the Formula One franchise, which the gaming group has renewed.

Analyst James Lockyer retained his ‘buy’ recommendation and target price of 375p on the shares, which rose 1.8% to 336.9p yesterday,

Full-year 2020 revenues came in as expected, with revenue of £76m and earnings of £18m.

Lockyer said the ‘impact of Covid-19 on the F1 franchise will be particularly interesting’ as the number of players and e-sport viewers spiked in lockdown.

‘With this increased awareness of the game we are more optimistic about the medium term for the franchise,’ he said.

Picked some of these up ahead of the TU.

Both these and TM17 seem to be coming off highs though so I might have timed both of those wrong in the short term, long term they both look fairly sound. This company has a legacy of producing top quality racing games, they're expanding their franchise base and the world is becoming more middle class so new markets are emerging.

Good posts tole and craven. I too am looking for an entry point, considered at 275p then it soared ahead.Not sure Naked Traders buys have the effect they used to, as they are reported so late now. He doesn't buy bad companies though!Will be watching with interest...

I too have been watching this for a while and dipped my toe in today..

Trouble is results are " Sometime in June" and therefore didn't want miss an obvious entry point..

Coupled with the fact Naked Trader will no doubt will be encouraging his disciples to buy on weakness I doubt they'll be £3 for too long..

Also been watching this for a while although never taken a position. Rise back up has been pretty relentless since bottoming. Price got away from me at 250p. First decent pullback today in a while and a small gap to fill on the chart nearer to 300p. Tempted to take a position and drip feed a bit in from here

SUMO is interesting. By Mcap the smallest, so in theory more scope to rise. I do like TM17 but 40 x earnings is too rich. Wait if any pullback here for an opportunity...
