Thanks moormoney for your unqualified testimonial which is so valuable to us. We have, as you intimate, a terrific track record but only a few hundred investors know we exist, and even fewer understand the value of a research service compared with a tipping one.

It is the true information and detachment which is in short supply, and normally kept aside for a broker's privileged clients, or accessible only to institutions. That is what bugged me early on in my 30 years as an investor. Finally in retirement I found the time to fill the gap.

I spend anything from 10 to 30 hours to get the first measure of a company. No investor of working age can afford that kind of scrutiny. Most PI decisions are based on hunches and under researched tips. Therefore decisions carry more risk than necessary.

Scrutable it's thanks to your note that I bought in early- very pleased I joined Lemming. I also bought EIIB which is just stirring so may have more to thank you for-holding tight to SOLA and hoping for more excitement this year. Keep up the good work-I hope you sign up many more members and prosper too!

You might like to know that lemminginvestor.com which prides itself on flushing out exceptional performers with original research before anyone else, published a 6pp inaugural on CCH on 17 September. We usually interview one of the main exec directors bur this has not yet been possible here. Erin Nil has always been travelling.

Instead we turned to ReneSola (SOLA) on 2 September, and again proved to be well ahead of the pack. If you did not notice what happened there you should look now. We have called it the Share of the Decade (until challenged by a company with a better track record).

Perhaps we should have tried to reach FD Richard Fossett, at CCH, but that would not have given us the understanding of the entrepreneur behind this potential star.

The company is interesting not just on the basis of the contracts won and held, as part of the data supplied, but also for its positiion re Shariah finance. At this size of company the man himself is the investment target. We need to know more about him before deciding to wax more lyrical.

The company is now in the close season. There may be a trading statement for the period to end December, in the next few days. Otherwise we shall probably hear nothing till the full year prelims are out. Last year they were very, very late - not till June in fact; but the interims caught up and were presented nine weeks after the end of H1, so we may get the prelims during March. Rest assured we shall keep our noses close to the ground behind this one, but I suspect that impatience is building rapidly.

ppowerscourt; although I was an early investor here, and started this thread, my entry for CR's 2007 Doubler thread was, in fact, Europe Steel.

Someone else nominated CCH I think (although I'm certain it will AT LEAST double during 2007) so saving me a job!

Still very keen on EUS though - find it on PLUS (formerly OFEX) - current P/E ratio about 3 - strip out cash - 1.5! Next year P/E 1 max!

I agree, will just have to keep trying. re the release of the 'owner' shares. I dont think it will have a detrimental effect, but the contrary, making the share more liquid and more attractive to pi's and possibly institutions scared by the 85% holding. That coupled with the the results will transport it in only one direction and I still don't bloody have any!

nope tell me about it.
Ring your broker, he will have to ring round the market to fill the order.

Best to get them now, got a feeling that when the CEO or whoever owns 85% is releases some for liquidity in a month or so, these may go a little mental.

I got in at the last spike at 30p a few days ago; no regrets then nor now. But have to improve my skills in smelling things out first on special days like those.

Thank you to philjeans for bringing this to my attention on the Doubler thread.

Cheers

dont worry avickers, as an investor not a trader I would say there is still huge upside in these over the coming 12-24 months should you still want to get in.

IMO there will be a large rerating when the results come out in Feb/March time and hopefully the ceo releases some of his shares to the market.
