Clickon thats what i like, very few shares, i don't invest in companies with almost a billion shares, look what has happened to Afren & GKP< more will follow, they have way too much debt, debt free companies are the way to go now, at least for a while, watch the likes of PMG and CLNR grow fast, that's my belief anyway,

The realdeal5 I certainly agree with that, he's also been sensible keeping the number of shares in issue low.

Just in case readers have not seen Allenby's last report here is the link...........remember matters have moved on but there are some interesting facts.

hxxp://www.cluffnaturalresources.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/5-Allenby-Research-Note-07-January-2016-1.pdf

Panmure Gordon has a Colin Smith who writes notes on both Parkmead Group (Tom Cross) and CLNR.

Being an ex-cynical investment manager was it Panmures who introduced the £1 deal where Parkmead are involved?

I am a bull of Mr Cluff and a buyer of the shares and like him aged 76!!

I wouldn't exactly call it a distress that's a bit harsh, it is a placing just to keep the company ticking over, Cluff is after distressed sales like all other companies with no debt, i believe he will find funding and pick up a company on the cheap that is more than likely producing, Tom Cross says there is a 5 year window to do this, so why raise a shed load of money now to not be able to utilise it, Cluff will wait for debt ridden companies with Bonds outstanding to be sold off, or even given away free to companies that can raise the funds to drill, this is an ideal time to start an oil company according to the experts, you have your opinon i have mine, that's all that matters that we can have differnce of opinions, time will tell who is right here! Good Luck anyway whatever happens.

I have read the Placing Circular and a few issues to comment on:

1 There are far to many directors 8 for a small AIM company hence me asking in my post for cost savings in that direction

2 A non underwritten issue with a commission payable to the two brokers only if they place shares

3 Over 20% of new float at a distressed price of 1.25p (buying price of 1.39p today)

The reasons were not made public...........but the fact that the money was not forthcoming was.

There is always a pivotal point when a share goes wrong and for CLNR this was it. Since then the shares have fallen by such an extent that £727,000 was raised at a price which reflects what some in the City call a distresed price.

What we have not been told is what is the NET figure i.e. commissions, legal and other matters. Could this be 2 or as high as 8%? That is why I want to read the placing document which seems slow in coming........as that will give us the truth as to how much working capital they have for projects which can cost millions to deliver and that could be where we all get a good return on our capital.

When I have had a look I will let this BB have my thoughts as I am a buyer as I feel that there is a new story for CLNR.

Out of interest who told you why he didn't get his 4.5p please?

Mr Cluff last year did not get his capital in at 4.5p per share for reasons I will keep to myself. This was bad news and made me sell part of my holding at around 3.5p. So in a way I am a covered bear and this plus a new purchase I plan to buy is what I am thinking about.

I have looked at all the so called assets the business has as well as the brokers research notes and my friend here in Cambridge have discussed this with one of the worlds largest oil services business and we have all come to the conclusion that the shares have a value of not more than 1.5p.

So Mr Cluff has had to accept that this is the price the City gives him for his final punt. In otherwords if by the end of 2016 CLNR has been unable to find a partner or otherwise then he will have to hand over to a new board....he has opened the business to a merger/take-over. That is my view.

I also believe that overheads should be trimmed by at least £100k per annum and this is why I am waiting for the circular and the DEC 2015 year end results, which if I was Mr Cluff would want to announce together with some good news.

Remember over 15% of the compamy is coming on to the market so some big punters will be churning at 1.75p and upwards............good for the MM but not for existing shareholders hence me asking for the board and hangers on take a reduction in their retainers until the business can become profitable.

I will not comment again until after the EGM. I am unable to attend as I shall be out of the UK.

I suppose if you are averging down its best to be cautious, but this looks very cheap to me considering Cluff is now on the oil and gas trail, wasn't too keen to buy in on his coal idea, but the link with PMG makes me interested! Good luck with your buy in, but Oil is rising so this may just start to rise once the over hang of shares are all sold!

Think I will buy another lump of these before I go on holiday on Monday the 18th, this board is quiet and I get why, a lot of people have given up on AIM, but there are still great bargains to be had, this I believe is just one of them, this is possibly the best time to start an oil company, when so many are distressed and looking at foreclosure from their bonds, probably the best £2,500 I will ever of spent in my life, within the next 5 years I should see a decent return, u till then Adios. And good luck to all.

Decided to get in here, think the tie up with PMG is leading somewhere good for this company, bought at 1.28p but all buys are showing as sells, how do they get away with that?

I do not think you are correct as a quote on AIM is worth something as is the portfolio.............as I said in my last post at least the current share price of 1.25p.

The gamble is what happens if the trading environment in oil/gas in the North Sea turns for the better then a new band of investors will see the oppertunities and buy in - with or without Mr Cluff.........so the shares are option money as we all know that there is oil/gas under the sea bed.

I am not a buyer yet but will average down at some stage as there is now 15%+ of loose stock coming on to the market and I want to read what Mr Cluff has to say about prospects and profitability before I buy in...........so I shall sit and wait.

I am unable to attend the EGM but all I will say is good luck Mr Cluff as the price of 1.25p represents the value of the business until such time as you and your board can unlock value.

Will Henderson be taking up any shares as they are a 10% holder and will the board be doing so as well.

More dilution here I see - I held these just after they floated and managed to get out with a very small profit. My concern was that it became clear they had no money to do anything and needed to raise large amounts, and I thought that would be problematic. I wasn't wrong.

It's difficult to know for sure but the two trades for 571,000 each look like a single transfer of shares into a Share ISA account.
