I am unsure why all the big lithium players are investing millions and struggling to make DLE commercial when apparently from what appears to be a residential flat? in Chile, it has seemingly already been invented? and will be employed in Q1 2023??

I am not seeing any patent pending from them though, maybe someone could direct me to that?
again, i am happy to stand corrcected.

Albemarle Corp. the global specialty chemicals giant based in Charlotte, North Carolina, and the world’s largest lithium producer with activities on five continents, concluded that its research points to there not being a standard DLE process that works for every single lithium deposit!
It seems the best chance is an individually designed process designed for specific deposits and very expensive to lay out, that thus far has not been proven commercial.



Standard Lithium pilot tested its patent-pending LiSTR technology for DLE over 20 months at a LANXESS site on the middle Jurassic Smackover Formation which crosses Arkansas from east Texas to the Florida panhandle, claiming to have demonstrated it could extract lithium from brine in a matter of hours as opposed to the months required in a conventional evaporation pond.

On 24 February the partners agreed to advance to the front-end engineering design (FEED) stage, targeting completion of the study by Q4. If the project proves to be commercially and technically feasible, Standard Lithium “could build a plant”
