MM'S desperate not to let this one run up imo. Paying premiums to sellers, trying not to mark up on buying but willing to take 30K online still.

Filling a large order imo.

MM's been soaking up lots of little sells to fill 10-15K protected buys for weeks.

You can sell 30K online today.

117p bid, going a lot higher imo

I suggest investors sign up to Christie and Co and take a look at their Commercial Property division.

SVS is valued at 2 x sales.

If you valued CTG on a similar rating for the whole busines (althou they have the software division which in all liklihood would trade on a much higher rating) then CTG's valuation would be £140m compared with the current market cap of £29m. Now I'm not saying CTG will trade on that sort of rating but I reckon if they ge the whole business firing on all cylinders then the market cap could go much higher than the current £29m

It is, though not everything is perhaps entirely rosy, I dont like to see them moving to AIM, as I'm trying to reduce my AIM stock balance!
I've more work to do.

Hectorp - I scrolled through the FT, and notice CTG,
on the face of it, it does appear to be good value,
and to be an overlooked stock? and worth a further look.

A 16K sell first thing, taken on the chin by the mm's, now a 10K buy.

Does this have the scope to surprise the mkt or what?

I see the directors were buying themselves some nice cheap options this week, on top of the recent director buys

ddahj - would directors be buying in the market at this level if they planned a rights issue? Don't think so - they would wait and buy at the discount.

The reason these have not moved, in part, is due to the recent AIM move imo - but that's nearly cleared now, those that are moving stock have to move from ISA's by tomorrow - job done then and the ISA sellers done.

Stock moving up today on a 20K trade.

Keane16,
Go to the News on 11/10/05, Sch 1. 3 people own 58% of the company. The rest is £11.78m or 42% of £28m.
I believe Christie's new software for retailers and the hospitality sector is due for launch this year end.
Does anyone have any view as to how sales have gone and whether it has been profitable?
I wonder if there is soon to be an acquisition and perhaps a rights issue? This may be the reason for the low share price and/or the strange flat share price in spite or apparent buying. I think any possible adverse news is already in the price.

Yep, I agree part of the volume is the AIM move but that was announced mid Sep - the volume started in early August.

I think the AIM move may have held this back as it has done with lots of movers to AIM. AIM trading started Nov 10 and all movers have to be moved by the end of this week (one months grace) so perhaps a bit of news next week? I'd wait till next week to put out news if there were people swapping stock about so that the news had best effect. Directors bought Oct 19 so conceiveably they might wait till Dec 19 to be 2 months after buying to post any news but I expect a trading statement by year end or just after myself.

Agree about prospects and a nice company. And one of John Lee's (an FT portfolio guru with a great track record).

Volume must be partly due to the AIM move; investors in ISAs, PEPs have 1 month from that date to sell or transfer as of course AIM stocks are not permitted in an ISA.

I guess I'm pretty much talking to myself here but pull yourself up a nice 3 year chart of CTG.

Since Feb last year the chart has formed a lovely bowl shape that suggests it's back on the way up.

Also, if you have any software like Proquote where you can see how volume has traded in the past, look how the volume picked up in Masch 02, just prior to these doubling and again in Dec 03 just before it doubled. Volume has picked up again like that recently.

Add in director buying lately at 102p and interims of 5.36p eps. 6p eps in H2? 11.4p eps for the year ending this month?

I think these could do far better next year 15p ? Forward PE 7.6?

Don't leave these off your watchlist imo.

will try to take a look phil.

CTG going rather well again today, mm's still out top buy 10K+ online.

Chart has now broken that March 04 high, just needs to go through that Feb 04 130p next then it's 162p resistance that even then might prove weak I suspect.
