It'll come Jaks - I was ready to plough into this on Monday morning, but noticed that they were down 2p on Friday's close, so I'm sitting waiting. I'm sure there are many more out there doing the same. Once it sorts itself out, this will go above 300 quite easily imo.

often the way - punters that want to take profits sell into strength, while those that want to buy try to catch the dip after such a statement - give it a few days Jak.

The way the price has gone since they issued that trading statement, you'd think they issued a profit warning.

Am already sitting on nice profits on this one this year, but there's more to come yet imo.

True but CR but they do imply the outperformance is due to the current M&A boom and how long is that likely to continue? I'd be surprised if there is much of an upgrade for next year at this stage.

Agree with you about the software division though.

The RNS's never made ADVFN or ProQuote till late in the day as there were feed problems so I don't think the market caught the full impact of it.

I cannot believe the response was just a 20p rise either. The statement said 'materilly ahead', not just ahead. I've seen a 'ahead' get 10% on the price easily. Materrially means at least 10% ahead or more imo.

With 11.36p forecast and withlast year H1 and H2 being pretty much the same as far as earnings went it's quite conceiveable that H2 has done 7.5p like H1, making 15p for the year - that would tie in with the 'materially' word. That would actually be ahead of 2007 forecasts let alone 2006 and even approaching 2008's forecast.

Will be interesting to see what next year gets upgraded too. 17p eps next year would mean a big rise in the price imo. SVS trades on a fwd PE of 21+. If this business split the software division off they would rocket imo, sum of the parts is much greater than the whole.

Interesting times :-)

Nice breakout in place too - that should see the stock get a good second leg up.

Morning all, been busy yesterday, so I've only spotted the trading statement this morning. This ticks all my buttons and I'm going to pick some up on Monday morning too. This one could move pretty quickly on the back of that statement. I think theres another 70p in this for me :-)
