27/7/2010 13:29 | £30,000 worth of shares sold - & share price down 21%! Lucky that £60k wasn't sold - share price wd be down 42%? Crazzzzy!! Where I always struggle with this Co is valuing it. It is soo illiquid. Also it is really a tiddler in the context of PRC - so will it fall below the radar in HK? Certainly, the medical distribution story in PRC is hot - but how do you value this share? [Means I've watched from the sidelines & missed out on the spectacular share price run over the last 2 years] | longsight
27/7/2010 12:11 | I would have preferred a dual listing too but CMSH probably don't see the need for the AIM listing once they have HK. | dasv
27/7/2010 12:10 | yes, sold out too dual listing was preferable IMO they will have alienated many a London shareholder I secretely hope the shareholders block the move - but directors will somehow swing the 75% vote I suppose. | andrbea
27/7/2010 12:04 | thanks Simon, Supersturrock. Typically those with WCC on selftrade have been issued with a share certificate which is then transferrable to an HK-ready broker such as TDwaterhouse. (I have both selftrade and tdw accounts and hold WCC in both). I was not aware of an increase in the share spread following the split. With respect to shafting shareholders, the company has done a good job of increasing the valuation by growing the business. There will be few holders who are not in profit even following today's drop. Since I am only running a small amount of CMSH as free-run profit, I may take the opportunity to buy more once those who don't wish to hold an HK only stock have exited. | dasv
27/7/2010 12:03 | If I could hold HK listed shares in my SIPP, which I can't, I'd be loading up. ===== Dasv - how is the wife and the babies doing? | simon gordon
27/7/2010 11:50 | CMSH are really shafting some shareholders: off to HK with some having no option but to sell, splitting the shares which has only made the spread wider. | simon gordon
27/7/2010 11:41 | dasv. obviously many holders are having to sell as their brokers wont hold HK stock. The MMs wil clean up. | supersturrock
27/7/2010 11:26 | anyone heard anything that might explain the apparent share price drop today? | dasv
26/7/2010 22:37 | Thanks guys, got the notification from Selftrade today - I'm going to phone them tomorrow though doubt they'll know much. Will also contact TDW as already opened an a/c with them and currently have WCC there which looks like it's due to go to HK soon too. Meantime had a look at this site which gives updated news on HK listed stocks Also: Seems Main Board HK stocks have to issue interim results within 3 months and finals within 4 months of period end dates so we should still get access to this info. As I said with regard to Seymour Pierce, they have been virtually useless re forecasts etc. lately, and the only other broker I ever knew to cover CMSH, Equity Dev., haven't issued a note for ages. So we won't really be losing out much in that respect. Will post any useful info I get and would appreciate the same from others. | penpont
26/7/2010 20:42 | penpont, 3800 I concur with your view points on the switch to HK esp with regards to selftrade, td waterhouse and WCC. | dasv
26/7/2010 20:10 | Hi penpont, I was speaking to selftrade earlier today who at that time didn't know about the move they have sent out a message about it tonight though. So it looks like a £10 transfer to waterhouse for me too. I do like the company and am reluctant to sell out, but like you say information is going to be harder to gather. I have never held any stocks on the Hong Kong market before so don't yet know where to look. 3800 | 3800
26/7/2010 08:52 | Has anyone had a look at the recent RNS re. the Hong Kong listing? It looks reasonably certain that it's going to take place and that the listing on Aim will be cancelled, so I'm wondering what to do. At pres my shares are with Selftrade who don't deal in HK shares so it looks like my holding may follow that of WCC to TD Waterhouse. I assume that will be sufficient to enable me to deal after the listing goes through, though to be honest find the RNS working a tad confusing. Points I'm considering at pres include: -There'll be no UK broker coverage from the time of the HK listing onwards - not that share price were much use but there will be no forecasts etc to go on now. -Getting any kind of meaningful newsflow may be difficult after the HK listing. The CMSH website doesn't even have the most recent FY results up yet..... So, I'm wondering whether to sell part/all my holding or transfer and keep once the HK process goes through. I've a feeling the shares will do well in the aftermath of HK but am not comfortable with the potential lack of visibility re newsflow etc. What are other holders plans? This is a v. quiet board compared to other China stocks. | penpont
13/7/2010 08:09 | Thanks for the new thread dasv... Its a quiet one this, not many ppeps which is sometimes a good thing. I've only been in a week but hoping for a long term steady climb to support my gambling oilers!! Keep up the good work. | analcime
12/7/2010 14:12 | new thread for CMSH here (with charts from bigcharts which take into account stock split) | dasv
12/7/2010 14:11 | New thread cos advfn charts don't take into account the 20 for 1 stock split. (hope that's ok Stegrego) | dasv
12/7/2010 13:41 | cheers jaws. Good luck with everything your end too. | dasv
12/7/2010 12:40 | dasv Tks.HCM was tiped in SCSW in w end.Hope u manage to sort out builders to get house ready for new arrivals.G luck and take care . That will be best moments for for you to enjoy. | jaws6
12/7/2010 12:25 | Had a chance to read up the CMSH site. A total success on marketing known products (Western prescription medicines) to a rapidly increasing China populace who now has disposable income to indulge in health care. Medicines are not free in China, though still costing less than they are in the West. Superb marketing skills and sales distrubtion networks. | ppowerscourt
12/7/2010 11:26 | You are not the first to confuse the two ;) HCM does chinese traditional medicine I believe. CMSH markets western medicine/phama to China. | dasv
12/7/2010 11:00 | dasv My fault I was talking about HCM not this one. Sorry I got mixed up in my note before.I will change my post 290. | jaws6 |
