Yes wassapper, somebody said about 2mil? I only have 10k and not planning on selling until we see where we are going. Maybe not then either. When the chinese lay their cards on the table, I can envisage £1/share.

Lets see.....

redsloe - that is because the free float is tiny. Beware this rise. If you wanted to sell much more than 10k shares it would probably be very diffcult.

The Chinese do have more projects to place into CAF but the timing of those is not known. My own belief, based upon discussions, is that it will not be too long, but that could mean anything.

Robson/Mildred

It has been a frustrating year for sure across many stocks.

Dealing with the two you raise. Ame has not yet found another kilo nugget of gold :-) but they have progressed their exploration and I still hold in the expectation that the solid management team will make the positive progress I anticipate.

Summ, which is about twice the share price when I took an interest, is making superb progress which one could reasonably expect, is about to yield a further run of decent commercial deals and again I hold in anticipation.

I generally try and find very undervalued companies and buy when they are very cheap and yes, sell when they are not.

If I have one faux pas it is often to sell too soon and not harvest the best gains, but you can't time it right all the time.

With CAF we have a tiny company, with a huge Chinese partner that has the stated intent to turn this into a global resource company. It's something to be excited about I think.

It would be great if, going into 2012 we can put the arguments to one side and focus on some of the super opportunities the Market has provided.

I wish you well with your investments in 2012, especially our shared interest in tpj.

IMHO

Fair, thanks for the post and insight into CAF.

Did I hear someone running for cover? :)

you were pumping the likes of AME, SUMM etc and they are now fractions of what they were when you were pumping them

did you dump ? a bit of honesty would not go amiss seeing as you are so loud in your pumping and so quiet about your dumping is it any wonder people question your motives and modus operandi ?

what other underhand techniques do you use to on your gullible victims

Thank you for sullying my user name once again mildred49. As some will know already you post repeatedly under multiple usernames, attacking anybody on a whim.

As to CAF, I indeed posted a couple of points on one other bulletin board. Doesnt seem too unreasonable, but then you probably didnt read them.

As far as I can see China Africa Resources presents an outstanding opportunity.

Following an agreement signining session attended by the Chinese Premier and the British Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street, the company came to market at 40p per share rising to 43p I believe.

There was a belief (expressed actually by the company ceo in summer) that the 40p price tag for listing was very much a ground floor, 'at cost' IPO. The general thought was it would rise above the IPO price which at 40p equated to the amount paid into the company per share from its Chinese partner ECE for the 11 or so million shares aquired in the IPO plcing.

So the company raises nearly £5mn, mostly from a placing with ECE and vend in the Vanadium, lead, zinc namibian project Berg Aukas. Together on IPO the mkt cap is £9ish million, including the cash raised and initial project.

Very much a base valuation and hence upside expected. But disastrous Natural Resource markets took over and the share fell to these levels.

So how does it get back to IPO and beyond and why did people think this had a lot of upside. Well simple really. The drip down in price came because a few smaller shareholders were dropping their stock into the market over recent months (many of whom got these shares for nothing as an in specie distribution from WTI).

But the fact is that there are only 23m shares in issue in total and 90% are held by WTI (listed on AIM) and ECE ( the chinese partner). Neither will be selling anytime soon imho.

The free float is around 2million shares, meaning that the share is indeed illiquid. A few small sells over recent months were enough to bring CAF from its base valuation IPO of 40p down 70% or so.

But of course uilliquidity cust both ways so with a few interested net buyers the price can also move up, a lot.

Now the strategy of CAF is to become a Global Resource company. All well and good but how?

Well the Chinese partner ECE (East China Exploration) is huge (thousands of staff, chinese and overseas projects a plenty etc). They have the financial strength to take on some substantial deals and their chosen London vehicle is CAF.

Normally one wonders how on earth a tiny resource company is going to fund new project acquisitions and develop them thereafter. In this case ECE have the financial strength to finance and fund, and we can be carried along for the ride.

So the initial project Berg Aukas is the 'starter for ten, and it seems the meat of the deals are yet to come....

And its still only half the IPO price!!!

IMHO

It is no coincidence. Look at the chart above showing timing of trades.

I suspect Fairdeal or his cronies bought some and then from about 3pm onwards he did some quick-fire ramping on the CR Penny Punt thread.

Big volume ? no.

Just Fairdeal ramping an illiquid stock on the CR Penny Punt (Pump and Dump thread) to Topinfo/moreforus and the others two bit trading chimps

Watch out for the sells when the T10's and T20's end mid-late Jan

Certainly on someones radar today. Had to bottom at some point and I'm expecting some activity this year. Just have my freebies too but am keen to see what plans ECE have for CAF in the future.
