11/11/2011 12:37 | Not O/T. There was a presentation on 9/11 by Rod Webster, CEO WTI. Hertsbirder (who attended) did a good followup on WTI bb:- Hertsbirder - 9 Nov'11 - 21:43 - 11142 of 11162 If I may quote a bit from his obsevations relavent to caf - TIA Hb:- ' - On CAR, we should expect news soon. The Chinese were ambitious and had made clear from the outset they wanted to move forward quickly into a much bigger company. At the risk of adding two and two together and making five, I wonder whether there is a loink to the Burkina Faso project? Would be a big step forward for both comapies if so, but could equally be a take over of another company given the distressed price of most mining stocks at the moment! ' IMO there is a logic to the speculation that China would have a much better chance of sucess if there were some joint 'strong arming' of the BF gov with WTI, as, at present, Tambo is effectivly worthless being tied up in litigation. From WTI final results, 12/10/11:- 'Tambao, Burkina Faso We have been unable to progress our rights to the Tambao manganese project, and accordingly we have commenced proceedings in the International Court of Justice.' Also from Hb's notes:- 'I queried whether there was any news on Burkina Faso. Apparently there is a meeting next week with the Mines minister which is encouraging as it would appear the Government has decided to seek a negotiated solution to the current legal dispute over the company's Manganese project. Clearly no guarantee of progress, let alone a timescale, but encouraging all the same!' If Rod can persuade the Chinese that Tambo has merit, then getting it active again and bringing it into CAR would make sense, IMO. Some news soon maybe. PDYOR,NAI. L. | lenses
11/11/2011 00:13 | When will this bottom out? | billthebank
10/11/2011 08:32 | Bought my first lot today to add to my freebies. Hoping to add if my fortunes improve on other shares! | redsloe
08/11/2011 17:02 | I can think of a few resources explorers worth a few million hopefully prodding the ground looking for a discovery. IF they find anything they will then have to raise the finance to prove it up and get a feasibility study done with the risk of huge dilution or going into a JV etc. Here we have already 'found' the discovery and an excellent one it is too. We have also got the cash for the feasibility study and maybe another asset purchase too. And we are, as wassapper says, priced at effectively nothing pre cash! | dropside
08/11/2011 15:38 | clearly the cash is being/will be partly burned on the study, but nevertheless we are effectively at or below cash - Burg Aukas is for free | wassapper
08/11/2011 15:05 | Aren't they talking about Feasibility Study taking another 12 months ?? | double6
08/11/2011 14:58 | Anyone like to speculate when we might have some news on the strategy here? | anotherardbeg
08/11/2011 14:50 | Shouldn't that read pound notes for 10p wassapper, I am not in it just for 10% ;-) Edit - I get you wassapper - trading below cash. | soulsauce
08/11/2011 14:43 | added another 20k | wassapper

29/9/2011 13:05 | Well it would make a good slope in Courchevel! | dick grasso
26/9/2011 13:28 | Assuming they have yet spent much cash the current market cap values Berg Aukas and the market listing at £500k | wassapper
14/9/2011 14:41 | another very basic calc is that this is getting close to cash value. I picked up some more last week and will keep looking. They are not burning much at the moment. Looking good value. | wassapper
14/9/2011 09:26 | Looking at a very basic calc, it looks like about half of the allocated shares have been sold now, I guess the 12.2% held by directors will be held and the namibian interest, guess blackrock would have sold their 230k ish shares. | dick grasso
05/9/2011 20:49 | Wasapper ... a suggestion for the thread header if i may: Link to ECE: &: Link to Namibian Ministry of Mines & Energy: ECE have intimated that they will use CAF as the vehicle into which they may inject other Namibian assets. Thus far, we are none the wiser (formally) as to what those assets may be but, by X-referencing the monthly updates List of EPL's on the Nam gov website to the Mining Corporations & Commercial Trade Enterprises detailed in the ECE structure chart, you can being to get an idea of what and where those assets are in Namibia | mattjos
26/8/2011 14:27 | Finally have my CAF shares from TDW! | ruben klawst
26/8/2011 10:31 | The share price appears to be flattening out now, perhaps this will be the level for the time being. Looking to add to my number at some stage but not sure when since there's not much news ahead that is going to drive any increase. Might just dip my toe soon. | redsloe
26/8/2011 07:36 | sorry to hear about the screw ups for those of you who held in at WTI and did/didnt get shares here (similar thing happend to me on another share and i swore i'd duck such event in future, lesson learned) -i jumped ship early to avoid that but want to get back into WTI and here once things settle and blackrock and some privates who want out are done and dusted. Def this one will see growth so long as our man Rod hangs around, hope to join you here soon. GL meantime | harrysbank |
