Could end up on the day now, missed the opportunity to buy cheap shares. But lacked the belief. If co meetings can reassure major shareholders we could yet see a further bounce in the weeks ahead.

Tempted to get out here - seems such a sprawling mess of a business, virtually impossible to attach a fair value to it, especially given that management makes such a poor job of presenting the investment case. If you agree with all the adjustments - a big if - then looks optically cheap on simple pe measure, but less so when factoring in all the debt and pension liabilities.

Hi spooky, did you get a feel on the outlook and current trading as this looks a bit more positive, or management of the debt ?

The presentation of the results was absolutely shocking, one of the worst i have ever seen. Almost need a translator to figure out what the hell is going on.

Results seem ok, this years no's reflected by the share price perhaps but next year comments suggest an in line performance which makes ctr look cheap - and div nudged up. Not sure what was expected really.

Still incredibly weak on no news - really don't know what's going on here. Just holding on till results then will decide what to do with these.

Looking like good value here at CTR. Yield at almost 5%.

I wonder if the Capital Markets Day will lift the share price.

With all the natural disasters this year should this share not be benefitting from increased claims?

According to the pre-close TU on 6 Feb the full year results will be announced on 9 Mar. The last director purchase was on 7 Feb, just over 4 weeks before the results. I thought the closed period was more like 6-8 weeks? It was the FD who purchased on the 7th which is usually a good sign. Bought a few myself today.

In a recent issue of Growth Company Investor, Gervais Williams of Miton Asset Management described CTR as a stable business and a world leader at what it does on a cheap valuation. The article post-dated the sales warning and at the time the share price was around 250p. I put it on my watchlist and bought in yesterday following the solid trading update.

In the same article he mentioned CROS which was 33p at the time and is now 53p to sell.
