This company, in which I have never had an interest, has a Market Cap of £12.1 million but at the end of H1/2016 it had a cash pile of $29 million.Who values these companies?

It is not worth reading anything written by a SEY director as they have done absolutely nothing for several years. They have sat on a pile of cash,drawn large salaries and achieved nothing. They are a total disgrace. They should refund all the cash to shareholders and resign, that's assuming they are still drawing breath.

It's worth reading the Chairman's statement for Sterling (SEY) in their last interims/finals.

Cut a long story short, he basically says that the business model Sterling was following (and Chariot is still following) is no long fit for purpose, ie, deep offshore, long cycle, high CAPEX v. the lower for longer PoO.

Worth a read.
