Bruises heal. I bought 888 at 30p ish - went to 1.80 the other day within a year and a bit, now fallen back - but made an absolute fortune because I loaded up. At the time the de-rampers were in force with their usual ..there will be dilution, there will be a rights issue, there will be a fine by the USA, or the more subtle - I think I will de-risk and sell out and buy back when they are down another 30%, You know the score with those guys. I remember giving them sensible arguments to no avail - so simply ignored them. No doubt they were ramping the hell out of it over the last month. They just work in teams.

Alex - with respect - that is just daft - the chance of striking oil goes down if we drill more - 10%?. It also does not tie in with various tomes on probability in oil exploration - and probability of success calculations. I'll stick with them - no disrespect intended to you. Common sense - if I drill more - eventually I will get lucky - therefore the 'overall' chance of success will increase by drilling more wells. The maths just conveys that. I know that they are not 'truly' independent drills but that just complicates it further. I kind of get what you are saying - but need convincing that my understanding is incorrect.

With regard to iii. It's not right - definitely agree. It's like some de-ramping team have landed and are doing their utmost to put a negative slant on anything positive that anyone has to say. Chariot need to get their PR guys onto the case.

HB - the correct maths assuming each drill is 25% (for simplicity) 0.25 x 0.75 x 0.75 x 0.75 = which is 10% - but realistically you can only take each drill in isolation - 1/4 in chance simple as that.
