mdin79: For charting I like Ellitt Wave Principle by Frost and Precher John Wiley. ISBN 0-471-98849-9 you can get it cheap from e-bay even second hand from failed traders who got bust.....lol
Now I guess if you are new, and thinking of trading you need a trading book and for this I would like to ask my friend Techanalyst to recommend you a good book. I have so many in electronic form. But I have developed my own ways as most people do.
Needless to say you must not trade with real money unless you spent 6 months at least paper trading. (imo) and also consider that you will loose your money to start with. So lets see if my friend Techanalyst will give you some good references. He has been around and listen very carefully what he says. Also he has an excellent tread of his own with epic SBET

hey andonis - i like your board, especially your potential bear-bull scenarios. Would i be right in assuming your bull case for the Dow would predict a close above 12k today ? Also, are there any charting books you could recommend for an amateur such as myself. Thanks

Yea a bearish schenario will bring it to 10,000 but imo not just yet. I make it a little later, as per post 692 in here. What do ya think of the next phase? After all who cares trade whatever comes.

lol there is certainly a lot of fib support to go with the chart support around the 12000 mark which does make you think 12000 should hold. If it does go and fail to get back above it there could well be another 2000 pts drop,does that tie in with your bearish scenario ando I know you got a bearish scenario;-)
