Hi Invi,

I changed my mind when the Dow rose and broke my upper target at the beginning of the year.

Yes I also think FTSE is cheaper.

'Would you say after this correction we are in a major upmove, a bull market greater then that experienced the past 3 years?'

After october assuming 10k has been reached the markets will rise and to over 12k. That is not bearish is it? I think people expect the market to just rise, and forget that a 30-38% correction is healthy and needed for continuous rising markets.

Although the other day you said the FTSE target of 4000, is more agressive then what you have in mind, can i ask what is your target?

Im thinking the FTSE will be worse off then the DOW, as over the past 3 years the FTSE has grown more rapidly...where as the DOW has been stagnant.

Fundamentally the FTSE is cheaper then the DOW so one would expect the DOW to be worse off....but then the markets are not logical so perhaps this wont be the case.

What do you think?

Would you say after this correction we are in a major upmove, a bull market greater then that experienced the past 3 years?

I also get the feeling alot of people are too bearish on the markets but history states that there will be a low in Oct/Nov.

Invi: I will be surprised to see above 11100 for the DOW. But we will see. Interesting chart, thanks, a little more aggressive than my thinking but still not far off my thinking. October 9950 is my target. Not lower for the DOW.

11250 is a good figure to look at i suppose, 550 points from the low. Roughly a 900point drop from the top to the low.

So about a 63% recovery of its drop, 61.8% is a fib number, interesting.

Take a look at this Hatman chart

What do you think? I think he is saying 8500 for the DOW in october ?

Invi: I am not sure that more than 11250 will come before October. I guess you do not know that I think 10k by October is possible. That is why your estimate is not in line with my thinking.

This is much more than my estimation.

What is your estimation?

Yes 11400 is slightly higher then what i really mean. Im looking at 11300-11400. What do you think ?

My time frame is 1-2 weeks from Wednesdays close, what is your time frame ?

Invi the DOW low was 10700 + 700 = 11400. I guess this is the level you mean. This is much more than my estimation. I think the recoverly levels are 250 or 400 points at worst. Again this is my opinion and of course I can be wrong.

Hi Invi, Sory I have been extremely busy of late and will be even more so over the next week at least. Well back to closing the 900 gap is on the cards on the upside 11043-11070 is possible early on I guess. Overall however I do expect a down day.

It is just before Scotland v Brazil at the next World Cup Group game. Ronaldino goes into the Brazilian changing room to find all his teammates looking a bit glum. "What's up?" he asks. "Well, we're having trouble getting motivated for this game. We know it's important but it's only Scotland. They're sh*te and we can't be bothered". Ronaldino looks at them and says "Well, I reckon I can beat these by myself, you lads go down the pub." So Ronaldino goes out to play Scotland by himself and the rest of the Brazilian team go off for a few jars.
After a few pints they wonder how the game is going, so they get the landlord to put the Teletext on. A big cheer goes up as the screen reads "Brazil 1 - Scotland 0 (Ronaldino 10minutes)". He is beating Scotland all by himself! Anyway, a few more pints later and the game is forgotten until someone remembers "It must be full time now, let's see how he got on". They put the Teletext on. "Result from the Stadium "Brazil 1 (Ronaldino 10 minutes) - Scotland 1 (Angus 89 minutes)".

They can't believe it, he has single handedly got a draw against Scotland!! They rush back to the Stadium to congratulate Ronaldino. They find him in the dressing room, still in his gear, sat with his head in his hands.

He refuses to look at them. "I've let you down, I've let you down." "Don't be daft, you got a draw against Scotland, all by yourself. And they only scored at the very, very end!" "No, No, I have, I've let you down... I got sent off after 12 minutes"
