26/2/2010 20:26 | imo trading index is probably the quickest way to lose ones money, especially at the learning stage. and to hold positions and allow market to wiggle, you will need deep pocket as well. I see Ando's pocket is very deep.. | ![]() navyan

26/2/2010 20:15 | And/ Nav thanks for the great feedback and comments, i realise the markets are very difficult especially now. I only trade very small amounts and take very small profits as i'm not good with the charts . i know the support/resi levels but can't do trendlines at the moment. however i do a lot of research on keep up to date with the news and keep a watch out all day for $ moves and prices of copper etc as i like to trade the miners, XTA, KAZ and Barclays. I would prefer to trade indicies, DJI/ FTSE. at the moment i don't short anything, just wait for stocks to fall and then buy in, by the way NXT went up a lot today. thanks very much, have a great weekend, look forward to your charts and views. | ![]() kash18

26/2/2010 13:00 | arhh... I have been waiting for you to draw that red line, my comfirmation indicator. Cheers. Kash, good advice from Ando there. Technical Analysis and trading are two different thing, some people are born with the gift to be good trader, but most of people have to learn it the hard way. You wouldn't have the confidence to perform a brain surgery next Monday having just read two brain surgery books during the weekend, would u, cos u know it is impossible to do. Trading is the only career that amateur have 50% chance of getting it right, thats when things go wrong when amateur is winning and making loads of $$ and thinking yeah I can do this. the more I trade and learn, the more I realise how hard this game is, I am much more cautious than I was before, cos I know how dangerous it is now. I think the hard part is finding the trading style that suits your personality the best. it would take most people years of practice and many expensive "lessons",usually people like making same mistake again and again. anyway, I dont trade full time either, but found myself interested in charting, its a game to me really. Hope you play this game well and get what you wanted from the market. | ![]() navyan
