26/4/2016 13:02 | But the full year is the period to end of August. This is what the company said in January: We are delighted to report that Character continues to perform well, with solid Christmas period sales across all major lines at consumer level. To date, sales in the current financial year are up approximately 6% over the same period last year. We fully expect our underlying performance to deliver another year of solid progress and, we remain on track to meet current market expectations for the year ending 31 August 2016. | orange1
26/4/2016 12:56 | Well we need pretty impressive sales figures tomorrow if they are going to remain in-line with forecasts. In Jan yoy sales were +6% - they need +12% (for the full year) to hit the Allenby forecast. | glaws2
26/4/2016 08:20 | Surely with all the previous hype, it will be the progress on Tellytubbies volumes to date and whether the roll out can continue with exponential growth that could materially impact this share | squibno1
25/4/2016 17:05 | Rather quiet, no doubt good results, but what catalyst to interest the market in a change in value after almost a year. will the dividend rise? what progress on export sales? on top of steady home sales? what are the effects of management alterations to be. | mcartdon

21/4/2016 17:03 | Read Panmure Gordon & Co's note on CHARACTER GROUP, out this morning, by visiting hxxps://www.research "We continue with Character Group (CCT) on the Conviction List 2016 ... in the UK retail/consumer sector. CCT’s H1FY16 results are to be published on April 27th...." | thomasthetank1
21/4/2016 11:11 | The stock tends to hibernate then move, seems to need result, and not prospect of result to move it. Hoping for a fresh direction change up this summer. The dollar may drop this year to pound 5% then rise again next year , lets hope they hedge the changes. Brexit would change that though bigtime. | mcartdon
21/4/2016 09:54 | Nice mention on Vox Markets podcast. Siting interims as potential breakout catalyst | mattafc
21/4/2016 09:09 | Interims on 27th might increase interest and coverage | glaws2
21/4/2016 08:36 | it is geting a little disappointing this has not moved more... the value in the stock seems compelling, but at present the value seems to be overlooked.. | stoxx67
14/4/2016 10:43 | In London, shares in Peppa Pig owner Entertainment One surged 9% following reports it was in talks with ITV over a possible takeover, although the company said early on Thursday that it had not received any approaches. Hopefully some of the industry interest will flow to CCT. | h1a3
12/4/2016 07:08 | Since the board have sought and have gained permission to buy back shares, with the cash production of the company, and the very low cost of borrowing why is it that they have not followed through? eps is the goal. The purchase of 4 million shares would add 20% to eps and the cost would be absorbed by cash production over 3 years. The return to shareholders would be very good at low cost. they obviously have instead used the capital within the business , cutting debt and investing in new product, after months of share consolidation the results of that investment should start shining through. mm are short of shares and we are on the cusp of new progress towards six pounds in the share price now overdue, seven to eight pounds would not be overdoing it | mcartdon
08/4/2016 16:28 | Fido now posting on ONZ. Wonder what CCT did to upset him! | squibno1
08/4/2016 13:05 | Yes, strong volume and the breakout after a long sideways range is clear on the chart. Could be the start of a sustained move up. | tromso1
08/4/2016 12:34 | Fair old volume behind this move. NT likes to buy during run up to results phase. The breakout (500p) looks significant. The resistance higher is minimal since a record high approaches. Fundamnetally there is very strong div cover on this so a hike is not beyond possible, despite the growth profile being so strong. | thorpematt
08/4/2016 12:01 | His nakedness helping the share price along!! | mattafc
08/4/2016 10:53 | Cup and handle formation indicating a long awaited breakout may be imminent. certainly lively today | mcartdon
08/4/2016 06:40 | Deanowls - my notes from the AGM "International teletubby sales : Australia, US being launched mid year. In total 5 countries launched this year" | glaws2
08/4/2016 04:48 | When does the launch of teletubbies abroad commence? | deanowls
07/4/2016 18:11 | Continued strength in the dollar is good for character 1.41 today, they book exchange contracts in advance to cover contracts, once again this year that will cause a bonus to results, the falling pound boosts exports too to Europe and especially USA and new markets. The future is certainly bright as worldwide expansion in a fallen pound environment is the right side to be on especially with falling commodity prices and lower Chinese costs and currency. the low PE is not justified with all that's going on 12-15 is more apt. Teletubbies and Fireman Sam film are key successes, news of progress will be interesting hopefully egging on the shares. and further dividend news should help as there have been few buybacks. | mcartdon
07/4/2016 17:54 | Update from the Naked trader"Moving away from new issues I've added some toy company Character (LON:CCT) shares.Looks very cheap and with teletubbies going well, could be a decent statement coming soon. The shares tend to do nothing for ages then suddenly re-rate. And they have done nothing for ages!Half-year results are due on the 27th April. I notice last year the shares went up quite a lot following results. So maybe history will repeat itself. It's possible the shares could re-rate from a fiver up to 600p.Of course as ever with markets no guarantees for good results so it's not one to bet the house on, but it could pay off. If it doesn't pay off at least I can pretend to be a teletubbie and say "Eh oh!" (Thank f I don't have to watch that anymore along with Peppa Pig and Fireman Sam)." | coppertrader
05/4/2016 13:51 | Nice Picture of Fireman Sam, one of CCT products, on the front page of the Independent Newspaper. David Tennant will be in a full length movie with Fireman Sam. Hope we see some uptick in sales. | bangalorebob
04/4/2016 09:15 | With a million a month initial sales the future looks bright, a new line growing over the year to 1.5m a month in UK, followed by an international launch with sales abroad more than matching on reasonable expectations. This would add 25% to t/o with existing growth. We can reasonable expect 130-140 m in 18 m. however if Teletubbies performs well internationally it would not be a surprise to see more than 50% growth in sales in 2 years. a higher p/e is justified. the company has the cash to expand fast and further licence news would add jam. | mcartdon
31/3/2016 11:51 | CCT have updated their website - interims out on April 27th Also article published in Shares magazine today with a buy recommendation, inc reassuring comments re Teletubbies: "Teletubbies toy sales have been increasing week on week... The stuffed talking teletubbies toys, priced at £9.99, have been selling exceptionally well with over £1m worth of sales in UK each month alone". Further product launches in H2 in time for Xmas. | darlocst |
