03/7/2015 14:38 | Cfro, The thing about the clangers is that because it has such a strong connection for the now adults, it won't be just children who are buying them. The clangers should do very well in the UK but it is the global sale of the products that is the game changer for Character. | fido
03/7/2015 13:35 | Good news fido. It will be interesting to see how well sales go in the next few weeks. | cfro
03/7/2015 13:29 | The Clangers are now in store (July 1st) "We are so excited about our Clangers plush and Collectable figure but we're more excited about what's to come as there are more gorgeous Clangers goodies on their way." | fido
03/7/2015 08:24 | Thanks scrurbs, I hadn't looked back to see that they had updates before September, with consensus broker EPS estimates at 38.0p which look way too low, then I would agree that they will want to update the market earlier. | interceptor2
03/7/2015 07:48 | July and August sales are very important to full year results, but if they are tracking comfortably above expectations they may seek to correct market expectations before the end of August (perhaps late July). They have done this a number of times in the past. | scburbs
03/7/2015 07:32 | Period end is 31st August, so I would think the trading update will be in September. I think management will be keen to give an update on progress, so I would expect early September. | interceptor2
02/7/2015 21:38 | When do we expect some trading update early Sept or August? | mcartdon
30/6/2015 20:53 | 8k shares bought in the closing auction at 475p. Odd haste - perhaps had an end of month deadline. | briangeeee
29/6/2015 13:40 | I am hoping for a bigger dip cfro. Hopefully I will get a chance in the near future! This is one of the options I am watching closely. | lauders
29/6/2015 11:10 | A tasty Greek dip to top-up on... (which i duly did!) :0) | cfro
25/6/2015 14:55 | Michael Palin has just been on BBC 6music discussing voicing the Clangers for those who are interested. | jimbobjames2002
23/6/2015 13:54 | Interesting podcast. Worth noting that Peppa Pig has now been televised for 11 years and it took 3 to 4 years after airing on TV to gain traction in sales. | cfro
23/6/2015 13:36 | From iii: Bear in mind that Character have the distribution rights not only in Europe but also in Australasia and New Zealand. Also of interest is the audio`s quote of Ben & Hollys Little Kingdom as being Australia`s hottest up & coming commodity. | fido
22/6/2015 18:17 | Yeah made its 2% today :-) | smartmoney100
22/6/2015 18:03 | Closed at a new high. :-) | cfro
22/6/2015 14:23 | Cheers fido, though I hope and suspect share price momentum has a lot further to go from here before it is too late to get on board :-) Good to hear about the teletubbies rollout. | saucepan
22/6/2015 14:17 | Saucepan, Most people will not realise the upside here until it is too late. The latest is that the Teletubbies are moving across French networks and those of the French territories around the world. All part of the global roll out. | fido
22/6/2015 11:33 | Breakout move? | saucepan
21/6/2015 11:16 | Stewpot3 your comments do not suggest you have fully researched this company! But, each to their own views! | squibno1
20/6/2015 12:29 | I am an investor, but in my opinion the market is due for a correction which may last for 18-24 months. 2% is a big deal when you consider the current yield on bonds. In a downturn this is not the sort of company to be in, but it does look good for now. | stewpot3
20/6/2015 10:32 | Only a poor trader would trade CCT in the short term. If you are an investor, then surely you'd believe it will be far higher in the next 18-24 months; so does it really matter? Buffy | buffythebuffoon
20/6/2015 10:24 | 2% seems no big deal when you take a look at the chart above. Grexit, well who knows? Market seems to been held back by the possibility for sure, but how about a non-Grexit? | smartmoney100
20/6/2015 10:07 | The problem with this share is the huge spread at a time of uncertainty in markets generally. It takes a move up of 2% just to break even. I like this company and have made a profit in the past, but right now timing is everything. Coupled with its illiquidity and imminent Grexit, I would hate to get caught with pants down. | stewpot3
20/6/2015 02:58 | higher pound higher profits/ as recovery against dollar developed since april, like last year , more to bottom line. | mcartdon |
