abeygale - you don't get fleeced by other people posting opinions on a bulletin board. That has NO IMPACT on your wealth.

If you lose money, it is because you bought high, and sold low. Simple as that. Those decisions were yours and yours alone. Blaming others is a way of avoiding that painful truth, but it prevents you from learning the valuable lessons you need to survive and prosper in the world of trading/investing.

In the past I have been deceived and fleeced by derampers on Connamara Mining and Stella Diamonds. I recon they are just paid to deramp when the share price is at its lowest.

Well this time round they will not be getting any of my Challenger off me.

keen buyers back in lately ! Back to 1-1.5p in no time with this RNS

All we are waiting for is the announcement of the new contractor to commence and complete the NYW.
Negotiations are being placed by all parties as several court hearing have been extended. This is usually a positive thing as parties agree on the terms etc.
The CEO has confirmed that this wheel will be completed and has stated to share holders

MG .. " has now confirmed expecting June this year for new assembly of the NYW.
He stated whilst the litigation is ongoing claims against previous developer this will no longer hinder the new announced
installers to continue and finalise the completion of the giant wheel.
Whilst he is frustrated with the delay and with no further news been available for the markets, he understands shareholders concerns and states " don't worry about the sp, this will all come good this year with the announcement of installation of NYW'
A turning point for Chal has commenced with new contractors due imminently. The proof he stated will be when share holders actually see the Giant wheel physically constructed".

Looking first at our long-standing investment in the New York Wheel Project ('NYW Project'), progress continues to be made in advancing this giant observation wheel ('GOW') and associated entertainment complex. Most of the main components of the wheel are now complete, with the components for the four 275-foot legs being stored in Brooklyn and ready to be assembled on site. In mid-2017 the termination of the contract between the developer and the former wheel erectors has caused some delays in construction. However, we are pleased to confirm that New York Wheel Investors LLC, who operate the NYW Project, are in advanced negotiations with American Bridge Company. This is a very experienced engineering and construction firm, and we expect their formal appointment as contractor to be finalised. With their knowledge and skill-set we have every confidence that full construction work will recommence again in the near future. We would also like to take this opportunity to reassure shareholders that the longstanding financial supporters/shareholders of the NYW Project are fully committed to seeing this iconic project completed. We look forward to continuing to provide updates on this project.

With longstanding popularity and landmark status in the cities they are established (like the London Eye), select GOWs can still be an attractive investment opportunity for us. Testament to this is the recent investment we made post-period-end in a new GOW project to be established in Dallas, Texas, known as the Eye of Texas, LLC ('EOT'). Showing similarities to the NYW project, the EOT project will comprise a 165-metre GOW and a large entertainment complex which will be developed by third parties. A seven-acre parcel of land has already been contractually secured for the site in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, which has a population of 7.2 million (2016 census), and with plans to increase transport links further we are confident that the EOT will become an incredibly popular attraction for both the local and wider area.

We would like to assure shareholders that this is not a "green" project. The EOT has been in the planning stages for several years, during which point equity has already been invested. With activity and development set to increase, we are delighted to invest in this project. Challenger has invested an initial US$300,000 in the EOT to-date, which will support pre-development costs, and we have the opportunity to invest, at our option, up to US$1million for these pre-development costs. The balance of the total US$3 million pre-development costs will be raised by local developers. Challenger also has the option to become operator of the EOT once the GOW has been constructed. This project represents a very exciting, and potentially highly lucrative growth opportunity for our company.

This is a fair punt at this price....dodgy of course but what do you expect for the price of a one bed flat in central London?

All these dire comments were said about tern in january at below 2p. Hit 22p today for a 12 bagger for me.

A punt for gambling money only

Before today I was not happy to add any more. However I doubled down on my holding first thing this morning.
As the report in the final results speaks volumes.

Great to see that the Texas and NY wheel are back on course, and that Challenger are promising all holders that they will be rewarded for their patience.

Also if you read the report you will discover that Challenger may have over 1m coming their way.

Yes you right. I still have enough exposure here. As at 0.3p this is worth £640 to me, and Valerix is worth around £2,200. I should count myself lucky that this is not my main share. As last year I used to say if only I had the courage to put everything in here.

They're not a bonus if they end up having to launch legal proceedings just to get their 100k back.

Absolute dog of a company

Abeygale - do yourself a favour. Do not put any more money into this. It's tempting to look at the chart and think 'if it just went back up to there, i would be rich'. It aint gonna happen. And if it does, you already have enough exposure to benefit. Do not throw good money after bad.

These extra investments are just a bonus to Challenger, compared to the New York Wheel and their Texas Wheel investment.

There has always been huge potential in this company.Sad to say, this BOD have presided over a 99% fall in the share price over just two years. or even more if you go back to the relisting at the turn of 2015/16.Every now and then I look in here and wonder whether it's time to buy. Once again, the answer is "not yet". One day we might be able to say "the only way is up", but not today.

In the short term no one is happy to be holding. As these wheels will take years to complete. However I just excited to hopefully average down at 0.30p for a ten plus bagger the way its looking.
