Centrica ‘restarts talks’ to sell Spirit Energy
Centrica Plc, the biggest supplier of energy to U.K. homes, has resumed talks over a potential sale of its North Sea oil and gas venture after putting the plans on hold earlier this year.

With oil back over $50 chances of a sale are increasing; another $1Bn+ incoming

A significant step has been made by Centrica and unions, with the majority of workers accepting new contract terms.

Following over 300 hours of negotiations between Centrica and its four recognised Trade Unions - UNISON, GMB, Unite and Prospect - and representatives for non-unionised colleagues, progress appears to have been made.

Yesterday (8 December), ballot results from 7,000 front-line office colleagues showed that 86% accepted the final offer made to them; these were predominantly represented by UNISON, with 76% of the unions members voting.

Centrica chief executive, Chris O’Shea said the company had always sought to reach a negotiated settlement, and stated he was grated that “UNISON and Unite represented colleagues have accepted our proposals and over 4000 non-union employees are processing new contracts.

“I’d like to thank those colleagues who have carefully considered, and accepted our final offer, recognising that change is critical to our future sustainability and protecting jobs at Centrica - and by doing so - helping to reposition the company for growth.

This company needs to resolve its dispute with engineers, having a very negative affect on the valuation.

Cleverinvestor.......Haha, good try, having been in TEK over 12 months and adding on any dips I certainly am not down with an average of 9.3p As fir staying away from Aim it has made me shed loads in the past.......that is why losing £180k in Cna was nit as painful as it could have been. As they say, easy come easy go.
Anyway regards to you and your little mates Ammu and George. Having left a very cold Munich this morning it is nice to feel the sunshine and 17c sitting here in Palma, looks like it could now be a single sector day with a short hop to Nice tomorrow it now seems. Good luck and nice to see your investments in CNA doing so well.

Cleverinvestor......saved money staying? I think not, my selections turned out pretty good, OK Saga is taking a kicking but she will will come back, still well up in the others and SYME now up 60% so any losses in Saga are very well covered.
I keep saying to you......lets come back in December 2021 and compare notes.

Cleverinvestor.......why do you always pick the negatives? You forget to mention CCL, IAG, TEK, SYME RDSB and RDW where my ex CNA money is right now. I agree Saga has not been the best but still potential for 200% gain within 24 months.
As for moving back into CNA as they say once bitten!
I am sure one day it will come good for you but as I have said before it was time for me to cut and run.
I was very disappointed at taking such a big loss but even more disappointed that the likes of you could actually gloat at a fellow investor taking such a loss.
I suggest you now listen to other folk on this BB and keep your comments to CNA matters only.

I can't help it if Aspers has an envious side to him, I see he is moaning he's down 20% on SAGA since he sold CNA ,Had he have stayed here he could have saved his money Aspers stick with the pros. Put your money back into CNA .you know you want to .That would end your jealousy issues.

Well said Bookbroker, all I am looking for from these groups is insight, info , views etc about the stock but we all have to put up with childish behaviour from a few people. Lets hope the moderators are monitoring this and can clip their wings.

Sounds like you are all tarred with the same brush, venom and vitriol at one another, rather a pointless thread like most on ADVFN these days. Best to quit berating one another for their pointless views, the sums invested in these stocks by punters on these threads rarely enough to have any influence on valuations, just egotists trying to prove to themselves the justification of their views.
