why would we accept the offer when the share price is at the same level...I was quite happy with the progress and would not want to sell out at this price...

Just glad to get out of this with a reasonable profit. The private eye story from last week was incredible. The major shareholders (not Edmonds) could have held out for 40p from Brazil or even 30p but were so glad to get out of it they took the 20p.We got short changed here no doubt.

I'm removing CFM from favourites, as pretty pointless to discuss it now the fat lady has started singing. The important thing is we all (or nearly all - someone said their average was 25p I recall) made money. On to the next stock...

LOLSKILLER,
Strange statement considering how you were telling us on another site how you had sold 50% of your CAM at 14p.At the same time you were posting on here advising others not to sell as 30p was around the corner.

Sold all my CFM holdings at 19.5p since 3p purchased. Move the profit to other stocks which will provide me better returns. Good luck for all who are still holding the baby and waiting for a higher offer.

bobby, good luck, networking is obviously something you dont like to participate in then, you should work for the FSA.
I never said buy, i asked someone their opinion on another stock, take my post as you wish! I agree investors should do their own research but sometimes a tip in the right direction never hurt anyone.

filter me if you dont like my posts

thebull3,

Who says I am not already in STCM!

I just believe the boards are specific to each company and anyone buying of tip should already done their own reseach so if they get burnt, they only have themselves to blame

thebull3, if you want another opinion, take it where it belongs the STCM bb

Davius, take a look at STCM, tell me what you think? I bought a few of them at 50p 10days ago, not sure but looks like they may be on the way to 100p, not a ramp as some say, I'd just like another opinion if possible!

I think "disaster" is a bit of an exageration. It would not have been impossible for Camec to find a small working capital facility. But I think the shares would have fallen on these results and it would have been hard to get them back up again.

Well I was completely correct when I said that the company was skint...

Inventories 38.5m
Trade and Receivables 21.9m
Cash and equivalents 19.9m
Total 79.4m

Trade and Payables 80.9m
Taxes 23.3m
Provisions 3.8m
Total 108.1m

The cash held wasn't even sufficient to pay the tax bill, let alone their creditors. I think the ENRC bid meant they averted a short term disaster...

Hi Josels, funnily enough I hold some SFR, just 1000 shares in my ISA, good yield. Won't set the world on fire but a solid hold as we come out of recession.

I am not very sure what drives what, but IMHO today the score was, dollar up and rest of market down, it behaved as a "commodity" that produces goods and services and today it appears that was linked to the dollar.

Also the price of oil is lower now that in previous lows as the dollar now is valued less than say 2 weeks ago....

Sold already majority of cfm shares. It has been nice to follow this forum for the last months, I learnt some few things from all of you. Thanks to all of you.

I guess we will be looking for other opportunities somewhere. At the moment I do not own many shares from the FTSE or AIM. My recently opened shorts have been doing well, I made a little bit of money in all of them , already closed though. I shorted AQP, RRS, ENRC, VED

Is ENRC going down because they are buying companies: CAMEC...may be some others ?

copper close to recent supports, may go down and down as stocks are high and $ may spring upwards, but who knows...

Ah, tips, I like SFR, it will not make you rich overnight but they are leaders in the UK and now are expanding to India where they can bring expertise and where IMHO they should be very successful and will reward very well to loyal shareholders...The top managers have reduced their own salaries, good team I would say.

All the best

J

Bear in mind CAMEC has an aweful lot of shares in issue. I think that the high volume is ENRC buying up as many as they can on the open market, and other positions being opened and close for short term gain.

I think IFL is a decent investment, but it had doubled from my average price so took profit to look at other options (I moved into UNIQ).

I see the DOW had done a 150 point turnaround this evening, from an 80 point gain to a 70 point fall, with FTSE Futures up 30+ and now down over 20. Bummer.

I wish I could have your patience Davius but I sold all my CFM at 19.50 to reinvest in IFL as I thought it was a good entry point. Fairly new to this game so maybe it is my inexperience showing through but done well out of XTA and KAZ so can afford the odd bit of rush of blood to the head.
