25/4/2006 17:58 | I dont think it's a reverse takeover, I think it's a big acquistion. It's unlikely a private company could use CAN as a reverse takeover target while it is effectively owned by CFM. Bear the recent £9 million placing in mind as you read this. Below is an old RNS, I found to do with WNL (a subsidiary of CFM, as is CAN) White Nile Ltd Update ArtDate: 27 April 2005 On 16 February 2005 the Company announced that it had concluded an agreement with the Government of South Sudan to acquire a 60% INTEREST in the BLOCK BA which contains part of the Muglad Basin in South Sudan (the "Transaction"). It was announced that full information on this transaction would be published as soon as possible and, pending such publication, the directors of White Nile (the "Directors") requested a TEMPORARY SUSPENSION of trading on AIM of the Company's shares. On 4 March 2005 the Company announced that the Transaction falls to be treated as a REVERSE TRANSACTION under the AIM Rules..... Fingers crossed X | fat eddy
25/4/2006 17:25 | thanks you tp100, i pray it turns out that way. | devinchi2
25/4/2006 17:19 | You have probably made lots of money devinchi2 but you won't know until there is another announcement. As the shares are suspended, nobody will be able to buy or sell until the suspension is lifted. Garryd1 - a reverse takeover means that the bigger company merges with the smaller one and then takes on the smaller companies listing. It is useful for a company without history to get regulatory approval. | tp100

25/4/2006 16:35 | This is a Precautionary Suspension. Reasons: a) Trading in those securities is not being conducted in an orderly manner. b) It considers that an Aim company has failed to comply with these rules. c) The protection of investors so requires or The integrity and reputation of the market has been or may be impaired by dealings in those securities.
