Yes, all rather odd for this to be announced in advance of the 10-day notice and the document. Not a done deal until the document appears! It's taken then about 3 years to get this far and so maybe they were a little too eager to announce something. Shares magazine actually rates management. They must be joking....bunch of total muppets imo!

Apparently this lot only had one computer and that broke a couple of years back (not joking) so expecting correspondence of any sort is rather optimistic.

Lets hope so. Waiting to see details here of who has participated in funding. Hopefully an Inst who is looking at the bigger rather than someone like CE who will only be interested in punting them out to their clients.

It may be that Sweet China hopes to benefit from a possible trickle down effect of the "the world's biggest chocolate maker" Barry Callebaut having recently opened a "Chocolate Academy" in Shanghai and will next month open its first chocolate factory in Suzhou 90 kms inland from Shanghai.

Nice one suits - I'd be astonished if it comes back at 9p. I've got quite a few of these, but not a patch on my CYC "portfolio", LOL

Any idea what's happening with CYC - according to my online share broker, there's been a corporate action / rights issue dated 4th Feb 2008, with all my old CYC shares marked as "sold"....

This must be the first time that a placing for a "clean" cash shell has taken place at a fifth of the original float price. What a bunch of muppets! It does make you chuckle - proves the point really; that they can't find institutional investors that want to touch them with a bargepole!!
Just a reminder of the cash shell concept. Seed investors invest their cash into a new vehicle. For this risk they normally get a reverse at a reasonable premium to their investment, at least initially. You have to despair!

Hopefully admission document should be sent to shareholders shortly. Expect to see lock-in on placing, unless of course its gone to short termers like CE. Whilst 9p placing is disappointing, could be very illiquid on return. Bought just days before suspension, so reasonably happy at my entry point and more than happy, that finally we will see this back trading.

With an average price of 47p all I can say about 9p is that it is better than nothing!

At that price I will leave it and see what else they can buy in the next 10 years......

At least if the rampers pounce it may enable those that want out to exit with the knowledge that the capital gains isn't a problem... (not that I expect anyone to show a profit) - come on you lovely rampers when she re-floats....

Where else do you see mention of a company being a very possible takeover target even before re-listing?
