13/6/2006 22:00 | CDS Oil unit goes to arbitration in dispute with Nabors Drilling LONDON (AFX) - CDS Oil & Gas Group PLC said its wholly-owned Paraguayan subsidiary, CDS Energy SA, has gone to arbitration in a dispute with Nabors Drilling International Ltd, the company which carried out the drilling on CDS Energy's properties in Paraguay in December 2005. CDS Energy has been served with demand for payment of 787,811.95 usd by Nabors. It denies that Nabors is entitled to such payment and has claimed 1.469 mln usd against Nabors for damages suffered from additional costs incurred through breaches by Nabors of the drilling contract. Nabors has not accepted responsibility for any such damages and CDS Energy therefore yesterday notified Nabors that the dispute will be referred to arbitration, which is in accordance with the provisions under the contract. CDS also said today that it is actively pursuing farm-out participants and has had discussions with companies which have expressed an interest. The Emilia prospect located on the Boqueron Block, remains the most prospective of CDS's properties and, although no hydrocarbon reserves have yet been proven, it said independent studies have estimated an unrisked recoverable resource of up to 80MMBO and 128BCFG net to CDS. newsdesk@afxnews.com slm COPYRIGHT Copyright AFX News Limited 2005. 27/4/2006 18:50 | C2B-your 187 My questions exactly..ie what results are we waiting for?...my understanding is that the rig has been idle since December 23..I do not understand it as to me a layman the obvious thing would be to carry on going deeper...if my understanding is correct that the rig is idle that would be crazy given the shortage of rigs and the costs that CDS are incurring and I pray I am wrong on this..I have been busy and have little left so have not phoned them up Actually given the Brazilians getting concerned that the new Bolivian administration will be an unreliable gas supplier one would think that Paraguayan gas to the extent it exists will be more high topical | cerrito
27/4/2006 18:13 | g_morrall A few questions if I may ? 1) Is the new project Emilia, previously identified as the best prospect ? 2) What test sample results, we got the results from the new well parallel to Indepencia in February ? 3) What happend to the rig after it drilled the above ? 4) Why didn't they drill down to the gas layer when the rig was still on site ? 5) Do we really believe they can stumble on oil without proper seismic data to go on ? 6) There seem to be traces of oil all over Paraguay, any indications that they might be more substantial than just traces ? 7) Any progess on farm-outs and fund raising, after the costs over-runs there can't be much in the kitty ? | c2b

01/3/2006 05:37 | also have sold, unfotunately only got 6p. however I think med term they will drop further. more cash needed to fund deeper drilling for gas which is sometime away. I feel there will be fund raising by which time share price may be 3-4p. latest shallow drilling was in hope to shore up co. may be worth looking at if and when further drilling gets near target depth, but could be a long wait. will invest more in rpt!! to hopefully make up loss. | seabass
28/2/2006 22:53 | Looks like a good way to lose money to me. Tiny, cash needy oil companies arn't gonna be going anywhere at the moment. Far too many of them already and noone prepared to cough up the cash. If the market cap was a bit bigger I'd be looking to short it on IG. Think the chances are you'd be better off looking at MXP instead. | jackoms
28/2/2006 19:16 | WELL THEY CAN TRY AGAIN ONE WELL IN EACH BLOCK, COULD STILL COME UP WITH A WORLD CLASS OIL WELL.. PLENTY OF CONFIDENCE LEFT WITH 484,967 SHARES BEING BOUGHT TODAY MAJORITY OF BUYS WERE AFTER THE NEWS. .................... In addition to its 40,000 hectare Gabino Mendoza Block in which CDS has a 100% working interest net of a 3.5% GORR, CDS has a 100% interest in the Boqueron block (2.3m hectares) and 100% Working Interest in the PG & E block (491,077 hectares) net of a 0.6% GORR. CDS intends to follow a similar drilling strategy of 200 meter step out twins of old wells with hydrocarbon shows, and is planning to drill at least one well on each Block, subject to available funds. | sagem |
