Steady performance;I think the recent weakness in share price was caused by a read over from events at James Fisher, our engineering business seems to be in good shape.

Couple of biggish trades gone through recently, including 2 x 100K today at 145p. Another 100K went through at 145p on Friday.

Results tomorrow, someone taking a position? Fingers crossed results are at least respectable.

Fidelity topping up to exactly 10%. That must be their investment limit in any one company. Just 5 days until the final results and the date of AGM announcement.

Is the delay to finalise the much discussed split; Carrs Engineering Limited and Carrs Agriculture Limited. Possibly better names than that but….?

Craven you'll now have to wait until 7th December for the results. I wonder if they'll change the date of the AGM from around 11th January. I'd like the final dividend to go towards my tax bill at the end of January like every other year.

Only a few days to go now until we find out what’s going on. Carr’s could be on a new era of profit and perception. A new Agricultural era and a new zero carbon Engineering capability. Both sit firmly in Carr’s sights…they217;ve invested in both these assumptions. They should now look to deliver as everyone is promoting such. Let’s hope they can do it for everyone’s sake. Some positive words from the board are now requested?

Perhaps you'd like to set up an alternative board and moderate it Dozey3? That way you would only need to see the posts you deem worthy

I have two thoughts. First: engineering and agricultural retail are like chalk and cheese. The two would be worth more as separate entities, much more, but of course directors would have a lot more work to do. Second: this board has far too many posts saying nothing worthwhile.

Good trading opportunities at the moment it looks, buying on the order book and selling through an RSP, today and the last few days some very chunky quantities.

I have been looking at the serious problems that our fellow Cumbrian company James Fisher seem to be having.Barrow based Fisher are involved in the nuclear, offshore wind & oil business as we are and share customers I assume with our engineering divisions in particular with Barrow based NW Total Engineering, Bendalls in Carlisle & Chirton in Newcastle.I got the impression from our last update that we were seeing a better picture from our engineering businesses. In many respects you would think that Nuclear & wind should be growing.

These are what he bought, I applauded him for it. I would have thought the price would have dropped further if there was an apparent disagreement, so I am hoping it is a case of the Board making what they think is the best decision for the company.

Chief Executive Officer, purchased 80,000 ordinary shares of 2.5 pence each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares"), at a price of 157 pence per Ordinary Share.
