22/10/2007 16:00 | well, lets hope that cdl can replace the 'nomad' in the meantime while there is still something left worth fighting for before we are delisted. | david brent
22/10/2007 15:40 | lets all hope its a serious option that is being looked at.. cant see why it couldnt happen... we need some political help in Ukraine with so much corruption but hopefully things are going to improve from now with an Orange party in charge and Hares will know this and realise how close they are from making multiples back on their original investment over the next few years if the current cashflow problem can be resolved... SPC will be fighting for their money but so will Hares who can turn the company around much eaiser than SPC ever could... | snaptastic
22/10/2007 15:20 | Well there is another party involved in talks and one would guess it was Hares. The political clout of Hares is certainly greater than SPC. Not sure if SPC could do anything with any assets that they may try to seize. Also Hares has the right equipment for drilling in Ukraine IIRC - certainly would not take kindly to losing their shares to SPC. | omellete

22/10/2007 13:59 | i would like to see Hares buy out all the SPC debt and put one of their top men on the board of CDL to make sure the cash is spent more wisely from now on and get this ship back on track.. get some good political clout from within the Ukraine and the future could be brighter than Orange.. just my thoughts... | snaptastic

19/10/2007 15:15 | NABARRO WELLS & CO LTD FINED £250,000 Nabarro Wells & Co Ltd, an AIM nominated adviser ('Nomad'), has today been fined £250,000 and publicly censured in respect of its conduct. Nabarro Wells has been found to have breached AIM Rule 39 and Part 2 of the Eligibility Criteria for Nomads which were in force at the relevant time. The fine and public censure were imposed on Nabarro Wells because: their systems and controls did not satisfy the Eligibility Criteria; they failed to act with due skill and care; "The Exchange takes regulation of AIM extremely seriously. Nomads fulfil a vital role in maintaining the quality of companies admitted to AIM and providing advice and guidance to AIM companies about their responsibilities under the AIM rules. It is therefore fundamental that Nomads act with due skill and care at all times. The Exchange has an active programme of Nomad monitoring and, where we find failings, we will take action. 18/10/2007 13:17 | KIEV, Oct 17 (Prime-Tass) Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko said Wednesday that Viktor Vekselberg, who controls Ukrainian gas utility Dneprogaz, should be prosecuted for an explosion that took place at a Dneprogaz gas supply line last week. "None of the company's shareholders have offered any help to the victims," Yushchenko said. "Dneprogaz' shareholders have no moral responsibility. We'll make sure they have criminal responsibility." On Tuesday, Yulia Timoshenko, the main contender for the position of Ukrainian prime minister, also called for prosecuting Vekselberg and making him pay compensation for the blast. The explosion took place on October 13 in a building located in the city of Dnipropetrovsk, killing 17 people. Subsequently Ukrainian authorities detained Dneprogaz Chief Executive Igor Ivankov and other Dneprogaz executives and blocked the company's accounts. Dneprogaz is controlled by Russian gas and power utility Integrated Energy Systems, which is in turn controlled by Russia's Renova group. Renova is owned by Vekselberg. | zengas
