Isn't that Simply Wall St stuff just bot generated one size fits all nonsense taking no account of the wider picture? It generally spews out garbage in my experience.

Are you using the advfn algo to tell you its a sell, ya daft mug!

Of course they are buys, you cant buy two bananas worth so by the time the shares are accumulated the price is up and the average price paid is lower than the mid price hence the muppet algo here tells you its a sell, but any seasoned investor knows that sizeable orders are worked orders through out the day or days and reported later.

If there was sizeable sales the price would tank, ya daft daft silly daft mug

The opportunity for PE is to take the business and build an online operation using infrastructure and costs.

This won’t be on the market very soon.

If there is something going on then expect an article by Mark Kleinman of Sky News - he always seems to break this sort of thing and usually just before the weekend...

CF is drastically undervalued. As I have said before, the penny will drop eventually. Perhaps it is at last!

The business is simple but effective and good profit margin. Recovery play from covid and should reach previous valuation.

Six times the usual volume with some large trades included. Does look like some concerted buying

It's just normal volume into results. All this take over talk is bull. Will rise steadily into results with some profit takers and be around 1.08 day before.Depending on results 1.10 to 1.30 range. IMHO, most chatter on here is fantasy.

Biggest buying volume since August 23. Not sure that would be entirely driven by Shares magazine given the state of small caps.

I've had the view for a long time -- back when woodford had them (I think)-- that this would be a pe target -- never materialised though -- who knows

Harry, my online opinion was in response to the Liberum Capital's view that CARD could be a threat to Moonpig and Funky Pigeon.
I think CARD in its current format is undervalued and the focus should be on maximizing UK retail sales with some limited resources used for limited wholesale international expansion.

darrin, I agree but there is heaps of opportunity in conventional cards. Their market share is miniscule when taking into account the big supermarkets and numerous other retailers, as well as the other non card growth opportunities.
The shares are so underpriced there has to be prospective bidders assessing them right now.

I'm not convinced online is important to CF.
Online cards is a different business model to card retail.
Fixed warehousing, picking, packing and courier costs are the same for both high and low priced cards and gifts. Moonpig's average order value is £8.20.
CF strength is it gets 70% gross margins by manufacturing its own cards and wrap. That profit in pence would be a tiny part of a £8.20 avg sale.
CF would have no competitive advantage over Moonpig. Any additional margin made from manufacturing the cards and paper would be lost in lower online volumes compared to Moonpig.
