Interesting IC have today published a GARP (Growth at a reasonable price) screen.

CAPD is one of only 2 small cap shares that meet all 7 of their criteria for a GARP share.

PE of 11 with a PEG of 0.7.

Yes - what I like about this Company is that they are clearly gaining new Clients / winning contracts but not reliant in finding / not finding gold.

new to the thread, but massively into my miners, so makes sense to buy the equipment! Currently making some hay on CEY, SHG, SRB and HUM, but taken a small position this morning and may add. EV/EBITDA looks v. low and attractive IMO, but 75p TP when sitting at 65p seems a little conservative? Have read the thread, but any more recent views on potential upside? thanks

Mark Watson-Mitchell likes CAPD and has a 76p target:

"Capital Drilling (LON:CAPD)

Oh, I do like the recent share price movement for this drilling rigs company.

The interims to end-June announced in late August were impressive, showing good drill rig utilisation rates, big new contracts and strong profit performance.

Its net assets per share even improved from 52p to 58p, not that I consider that an important rating to look at when considering investing in this company.

This is an excellent example of making good money ‘selling the shovels to miners.’

The shares are firming up gently. From my profile price at 48p less than two months ago, they are now at 61p and looking extremely capable of hitting my 76p target price, and soon."

61p being paid

announcement from ECB yesterday should support gold prices as should next week's expected cut in interest rates from the US Fed.

I'm not complaining either.

62p next stop short-term IMHO.

After some time it would seem that sellers have been got rid of and stock is hard to find.

The re-rating is long overdue imho.

...and Cora have this morning announced the discovery of further high-grade gold mineralisation:

The drilling programme is expected to mobilise again early this Q4, which will benefit CAPD's current financial year.

CAPD have actually reduced their holding by around 3m shares to 5.6m.

So they've sold around 3m shares, which would have netted around £250,000. Their original total investment was only £385,000, so they've already recovered two-thirds of their original investment, have no doubt secured further drilling contracts, and are still sitting on around £500,000 of shares.

That's what you call clever investing!

From CORA today following fundraising:

'It is intended that the proceeds of the Fundraising will principally be used for a further drill programme and related exploration activities at the Company's flagship Sanankoro Gold Project.'

Boring shares (and quiet BBs) are the best! Just look at the chart....

Kloster65, aside from Cora (CAPD invested £335k at 3.85p, now 8.5p) CAPD have similarly recently invested in:

PDI (on the ASX) at 0.9c
GMR (ASX) at 1.3c
AMD (ASX) at 0.1c

and CAPD also have (I think) 38% of the unlisted MSA Mineral Services.

Happy to hear of any I've missed.
