Everything is again rosy and the share price reacts positively to yesterdays RNS. And rightly so though one is left with the distinct impression that jam tomorrow still applies. The new product will require capital investment and maybe we may need to raise more money. The news means a delay before contracts will be signed so whereas we could be on to a goldmine much will depend on how this is all handled. R and D is going swimmingly and the result is probably a gem of a product that can be used in many different ways across the board but cashflow could be an issue especialy with a very hesitant and cautious CEO.
As things stand the share price is looking really cheap again but taking it up beyong 15p and settling there may take a little time. We have share price momentum today but many PIs wiii have been very relieved to see their stockholding increase in value and might well take the money and run.

Robots need fast charged power source. Capacitors fit that and can be wirelessly charged or spread around the structure. Robotics will take off and looking for some companies as suspect available in our homes in 5 years. That is real future for CAPX plus EVS to eliminate some wiring.

I now have four open positions with cpx all in profit, i aim to start buying the dips

Samples will be available for customers in Aug 2018 "and commercial production potentially commencing in Q2 2019".

Couple of points to make:-

1) "The Directors of CAP-XX believe that this will lead to the Company becoming the only manufacturer to provide a 3V supercapacitor in a thin, prismatic form factor."

This is surely fantastic news to shout about.

2) The only downside is that commercial production isn't due to start Q2 of next year, so providing there are no hiccups in raw materials etc, then we need to be mindful of how the market will calculate future revenues. We all know that there are billions of devices leveraging this 3v coin cell battery, so commercials could be huge.

I'm a holder, but I don't really get it. We had a great product before, but lacked orders. Surely this is only gonna really re-rate once we see some orders? Happy to be proved otherwise

Link to RNS the bit about being in parallel cr2032 disc cell looks particularly interesting as will store and maintain voltage. PCs etc
Kept most of its gain, maybe travelling north tomorrow as significance realised. Got to do a fair bit of development though.

I hope this small extract from today’s rns is allowed it’s enough to see that if all goes well this is indeed a game changer - otoh how often do small companies overcome all the hurdles? I added at 8.30am today.

“...The Company will develop its 3V technology first in thin prismatic form to meet demand for small, inexpensive, energy-efficient power solutions for thin wearables, key FOBs and other IoT devices. CAP-XX plans to then integrate the 3V technology into its larger prismatic supercapacitors, automotive modules and other products for high-energy, high-power applications.

The new 3V supercapacitors will eliminate the cost and inefficiencies of the low-dropout (LDO) voltage regulator or buck converter often required to step the voltage down to work with the industry's existing 2.7V-rated thin, prismatic supercapacitors.

CAP-XX will initially target markets that use 3V coin cell batteries, where popular batteries such as the CR2032 can deliver reasonable energy (~220mAh) but have trouble delivering the peak power (~100mA) needed for data collection and transmission. CAP-XX's technology can handle those power bursts, and its new 3V supercapacitors will be designed to be placed directly across the battery without the intermediary LDO. It is anticipated that this will give a typical cost saving of 20-25% for a single cell and will also increase energy storage by 42% and power density by 23% over a current generation 2.7 volt device.”

bit frus this a.m. could see this jump happening when market woke up but out of free funds. Looks like a game changer. When full relisation hits the fan can see this 3 or 4 times current price. Maybe taken out before it gets there by the yanks/japs.
