Another way of putting the question is, why was the share price constantly going up after the placing RNS, when there will be shares available at 9p?

Maybe the market knows some other information?

it was a serious question though.
around 10% dilution and the share price above 12,the easiest way to make money on that deal would be to short.
it depends who has put the money in but i guess we will find out this week.

I agree with basem1 to an extent but I think the newsflow here once it starts will be continuous and exponential

i.e. if Tesla adopt supercapacitors you can bet everybody else will have to follow

if Apple start using supercaps in phones then Samsung etc will have to follow

with the power of Murata and AVX now also selling our supercaps the combined marketing muscle of CPX is growing exponentially

I decided to check your figures on the 6x increase in share capital. I broadly concur.
Delving back through all sorts of RNS releases I came across one from 2011 which spoke about a collaborative arrangement with a Chinese automotive company to introduce supercaps into automotive. Guess they couldn't agree terms or it got shelved for one reason or another. The sort of thing which might get resurrected?
The one thing that cpx is yet to deliver on is automotive related -most likely truck start. I am aware that automotive OEM approval and being specified takes time. It has to happen soon-hopefully.

Mr Kongats said that any fundraising would be on the back of good news, e.g. to build a new factory. We've now had a fund raising but as yet he hasn't told us exactly what the money is needed for. Perhaps when we find out we'll understand why the share is still going up. Not that I'm complaining of course!

The more immediate question is why is the share price still going up when there are placing shares at 9p. I'm sure there was a bit of forward selling when the share price hit 11p the other week, which is why it dropped back to the 8's. But why the constant rise now, is there something going on in the background that the PI isn't aware of yet? Next week will be interesting.
