24/7/2016 21:33 | The UMAL is being used for "wireless sensor nodes" as well as "in wearable designs" The UMAL incorporates CAP-XX intellectual property. (See PART 2) PART 1: Extract: "In addition to wireless sensor nodes, the UMAL is also suitable for use in wearable designs, says the company." Capacitor Industry News Murata offers thin laminate energy devices Posted on 07/23/2016 by CIN Murata has unveiled the UMAL, a low-profile high-capacity energy device. Designed to meet the demand for a slim high-capacity energy source with a maintenance-free extended life cycle in wireless sensor nodes, the UMAL has charge / discharge and life-cycle characteristics superior to conventional secondary batteries, says the company. The UMAL has a nominal voltage of 2.3VDC, can supply 12mAh with a maximum discharge current of 120 mA and is able to withstand load fluctuations. It has a low internal resistance of 200mohm and can operate over the temperature range of -20C to +70C.The nominal charge voltage is 2.7VDC and the UMAL is capable of fast charging / discharge. In particular the device’s high-rate discharge characteristics mean that a peak-assist capacitor is not required. It also has a charge capacity recovery rate of over 90% after 5,000 charge / discharge cycles. The UMAL measures 2mm x 14mm x 21mm.The device has a chemically stable composition that does not cause a fire or smoke hazard even if the output terminals are shorted out. In addition to wireless sensor nodes, the UMAL is also suitable for use in wearable designs, says the company. ============= PART 2 Extract: "Murata has subsequently announced the development and commercial launch of the UMAL, a low-profile, large-capacity, laminate-type energy device which incorporates CAP-XX intellectual property into a lithium ion battery." 24/7/2016 20:53 | lol desperate ramping. | monkeywench1
24/7/2016 20:20 | I was talking to a guy last night who is involved in specialist gearing and was testing a Porsche 911 on the test track and they had to pull over for the ev Porsche as it was to quick for the 911 .. I asked him who's supercaps were in it and he wasn't sure ... | jedad
24/7/2016 19:55 | Graham Wales ,, have great holiday your research will be missed during the week and hopefully the share price will be up a bit on your return 👍👍 | jedad
22/7/2016 20:31 | and this is just one revenue stream of many to come | vauch
22/7/2016 16:32 | hanzoo you are quite wrong. Mass production started in June 2016 not next month as you suggest. You state that Capp xx has sold the licence to Murata. The licence is being utilised and rewarded on royalty this is an ongoing reward scaled to the take up of the product. Murata have commenced mass production in response to market demand for a thinner, larger capacity device. Further Murata state that they plan to continue to expand its product line up to meet future demand. This model is super. No exposure to investment in tooling, staff and sales. Simply a royalty cheque for the work Murata do with Cap xx patented products. 5% seems standard which when multiplied by millions of sales globally will be highly rewarding. | perfect timing
22/7/2016 16:14 | Bob ,, be great to see 16.7p first 👍👍.. | jedad
22/7/2016 15:58 | Arm supplies millions of components to Apple, just think, £16.70! | bobby.ifa
22/7/2016 15:51 | Ok -thanks. | meijiman
22/7/2016 15:28 | Can't answer your question mejiman though I doubt supercaps would fulfill the needs of every wearable device or phone (or whatever they invent next). I meant it bodes well that Apple have been looking at the tech and with murata being a supplier thought it likely that these may well have been the ones they had been checking out. Didn't seem such a large leap of logic to me. | bad gateway
22/7/2016 14:52 | Why does it bode well? Could these laminate cell thingies take business from supercaps? | meijiman
22/7/2016 14:39 | Thanks for the link vivgav good to have verification of the launch. Apple have been looking into "lithium ion "microbatteries" that deliver thousands of times more power and charge almost instantly" for their future iphones and with murata being a supplier it would make some sense these are the ones they're looking at. hxxp://www.techradar All bodes well. | bad gateway
21/7/2016 22:32 | mass production starts next month Capxx sold the licence to Murata.Did anyone know if it's one off or recurring licence? | hanzoo
20/7/2016 12:18 | Sure is yorgi ,,be good to get a positive update over the next week or so and hopefully form a good base in the middle 5's .. I think once we have been updated on the favoured route on the truckstart and we can confirm a European car manufacturer I think we will attract more attention , thus hopefully assist in a move north with the share price ..will have to wait and see how it unfolds 👍👍 | jedad
20/7/2016 12:10 | What is clear the uptrend is still intact Jedad :-) | yorgi
20/7/2016 10:58 | Bit of a shake ,, back to the start 👍👍 | jedad
19/7/2016 15:39 | The rampers, puggy and jedad really need to just grow up and let the share price do its thing. Ramping does not affect the long term prospects of cpx. | monkeywench1
19/7/2016 11:03 | And another 250k buy shows up 👍👍 | jedad
19/7/2016 10:14 | indeed yorgi, especially as you watch other AIM technology companies issue shares like confetti just to keep the lights on. | pugg1ey
19/7/2016 10:13 | The proof in the pudding is when we actually see an RNS about a major contract with a Tier 1 Automobile manufacturer. I'd hope to see the share price sky rocket or else, AIM needs to be kicked into touch! | k1ngkonggb
19/7/2016 10:08 | Update or not Jedad we have been posting here for long enough how undervalued we are and now at last the market is catching up :-) | yorgi
19/7/2016 10:06 | Nice day...great day for ramping. | monkeywench1 |
