There was not a lot of selling volume going down, but i feel for Joe Public who did panic and sell. Absolutly no reason for it to be hit, other than the company is in Africa, IMO. I got a wee top-up on the cheap so happy days and ill continue to add in my small way going forward.

Regards.

Your correct vyke, I managed to put together another £250 buy just before the tick up, good for me. But on a general note of the African stocks i look at im feeling that the worst may be over in regards to thier SPs falling further even if it may be some time before they start to rise.

reason is clear some funds are selling. Once the overhang is gone should be fine. This would fly on even low volume due to small MC. Imagine if only half of what is claimed from lonrho is satisfied that's would see 200% increase. The hotel was sold quite cheaply I have to say versus book value of 11m but it is a positive cash flow though reduces NAV

that is my opinion (significantly undervalued) but then value only rises if there is a demand, and clearly none of late.

This seems quite undervalued. MC 1.8 mio and they just sold leopard hotel almost at same cash. All of their other assets are free. They must be worth smth.

YES, I'm a lot poorer but none the wiser.

Im sure we will find out the why's and where's at some point ! but for now.

Thinking allowed here. I wonder if the court case against Lonrho is taking place at the moment and its not going too well for CMB !.

This hurts! Who is selling and why? Was expecting things to pickup here now the loss making element has been sorted. Very Strange.

Guess I was wrong (post 59) but like tenapen cannot see the cause of the decline.

Perhaps cash in bank and two growing businesses are concerning some...not me.

Well my c10k buy was later in the day swomped by3 x 475,000 sells :-0

After reciently selling the hotel for circa £2m and the company is now valued at c £2m were getting the company assets for free !.

I'm still not seeing the fire but the share price / share sales, says something is wrong !.

IMO it was one shareholder trying to sell as allowed by the broker. In small parcels and when able larger sizes (have had to do similar).

Not something to worry about except for the MMs' rapid panic !

A few decent buys will reverse the share price

I agree with the above take on the results.

I will be adding as we go forward but there is no hurry for me to buy. Im thinking African stocks will be under a cloud for some time to come im afraid.

I would too but have rather too many of these already - and am conscious of the need to at least try to maintain a balanced portfolio :-)

Good luck!

A futher up-date in CMB's lawsuit against Lonrho. In the Indy no less.

Lonrho sued for fraudulent misrepresentation

Lawsuit also accuses Lonrho of breaches of contract and diversion of insurance claims
